I did an auction for a 1/16th scale Hydro with the winning bid donating the money to Haiti relief the winner getting the boat.

I have done freebie threads over the years, I also tried to incorporate some sort of game to give everyone a chance to win (as opposed to "first to see it, gets it")
I just haven't had the finances in order to do more, but I hope that will soon change.

I always thought it was a great thing that you guys do for other people I have given a few smaller things away before but as I just got in to RC on a larger scale I don't have much to give yet. The only thing I dislike Is the posting first one to ask. It's nice to see the item go to someone that will use it. I saw someone give a complete AquaCraft U-18 Miss Vegas RTR to a young boy who's dad just left for Afghanistan, something to keep his mind off his dad being gone. That's the kinda thing I like to see. I never seem to get lucky enough to get anything I think you have Like refresh the site every 10 seconds lol. But keep it up you are doing a very kind and generous thing. God bless and merry Christmas..

This hobby is a great one to be apart of and as everyone knows the people involved are some of the most generous and kind individuals you will ever meet!

Hi, as a newbie to FE Boats I like the Christmas gift thing every one here is doing but to your question Jeff, I thing it should be for the new guys that don't have a lot of stuff to give but do like the help others are offering here, think you said something like that when you started this. I have seen some member here (no names) say that they want something then somebody else post something different and now they don't want the first thing they want the other, Seen somebody do that three times since you guys started this Christmas list and I think once you say you want something that's it unless the giver pulls the gift for some reason. Just my 2 cents.

I think it makes sense to help out a lot of the new guys but at same time what classifies "new".
I'm pretty new to FE boats as I've only been running them for about half a season.
Not sure I would consider myself a newbie though as I've had a lot of help and learned a lot in a short time.
Then there is other guys who have been lingering on the forums for years but haven't really started running or don't run often and they don't seam to be new because they have been a member for a while.

It's a giveaway and I think leaving it open to whoever can make use of them is most important.
Helping out whomever new or not.
Def someone who doesn't or can't use the item should not ask for it.
And most def do not! Want to see any gifts in the for sale threads!

Lol my life story. Every time there was something i could use it got posted while i was at work lol. But thats kool as long as someone who could us it gets it.I like to see it go to younger kids. Good to see them get in to the RC hobby .

Well guys get them while you can.
Still haven't gotten much feedback on the more then 1 gifted item but hasn't been that long since I posted it.

I figure if it's ok with the giver then we will make it happen.
