The 2019 FE Racing Season thread

The Indy Admirals FE racing season kicks off on the 28th of April 2019

As usual info on rules, the results and location of the racing can all be found on the Indy Admirals web pages. http://www.indyadmirals.org/RACE.html

Inclement weather info on the day of the event will be posted to the Admirals Facebook page.

As usual I'll try to post some video footage of the day's racing after each event. Hope to see all the usual faces and hopefully lots of new ones too.

Finally in July we have managed to hold a regularly scheduled FE racing event. The weather held out for us, the wind was calm and the water was perfect. Our attendance was a little light, but given the extreme temperatures and crazy Indiana road closures, that was to be expected.

We also need to report the addition of a fountain in our racing pond. The fountain is located off the back stretch, it is not in the racing lines, but if you’re not paying attention, it could easily “move” into the racing lines, if you catch my drift……… We will monitor the fountain to see if it is a real issue or if people can adjust to accommodate.

Next racing session will be August 4th hope to see you pond side.

Today was the first race held at the new location (Pyramids). It was much better than expected, the course is very close to regulation size. This did test the retrieval boat a few times. Attendance was still lighter but there were more usual faces than there has been of late. Got a few videos from today, enjoy.
