This Sunday is another Round in the FE summer series. Hopefully we will get some good wind free weather. Bad weather or not I know we will all have fun. See you pond side.

It’s exciting to think we’re halfway through the season. Four races down and four more to go. We’re always striving to improve our racing and our regulars are helping to make it happen. We introduced Q offshore and initial participation looks like it’s here to stay. Hopefully the water has gone down so we can use the sub-surface buoys this time. The weather calls for no rain but very hot, so be prepared and have plenty of water to drink to stay hydrated.

Hope to see a big turnout Sunday.

Turn out was slim today and the wind seems like it will not let up and let us get some high speed runs in. But we all certainly had fun, apart from a couple of little "ooopps" moments driving styles were much better, giving each other space where there were clearly faster boats/drivers. Good job folks.

Here are few snap shots from today.

Don't forget that this weekend is another get together for the Indy Admirals summer FE racing series. Looking at the score sheets it's all to play for.

Don't forget this year we have real prizes thanks to Aquacraft, Steve of OSE, and the Younts donation.

Looking forward to seeing the team and some good racing. The open class seams to heat up a little more during every event, makes me want to get in on the scary, but very fast action.

                    See you Sunday Pond side.

Yes there are some real pools of talent. Of course the Hughey clan (Hughey Flex shafts) helped to guide and shape us and most of all Mike from H&Y racing is top notch in supporting the club and ensuring new guys and gals get hooked. A great FE director that has raced since, well, erm, well a long time, I'm surprised at the amount of people he knows......

We have a lot of behind the scenes fun and action that others don't see, the ladies and novice racing is a blast, kids getting involved, the polar bear BBQ event. It really is a great and welcoming FE boating family as well as a FUN place to be during a seasonal heat.

We appreciate the comment - I know a lot of our guys are readers rather than posters on the forum.

                          Yep,

Many moons ago, I used to live on the West side of Indy off of 38th street near Eagle Creek and just down the street from Rick's Boat Yard.

I also know Ed and Dee Hughey. They were old when I was a kid and they were still racing Nitro boats. Ha Ha. Spent many Saturdays at the pond on Crawfordsville road shooting the bull with many of the Indy Model Boat Club members. I still have some friends down in Greenwood. Perhaps I can try and make a race towards the end of the season.

                          Later,
                          Ball

Its a small world - Oh the stories told of the Indy Model boat club, we checked out that very pond only earlier this year as a potential "new" old home. I bet you and Mike and some of the other original guys would spend some time in memory lane for sure.

If you do get chance - I'm sure you'd feel right at home.

Well another good event, with plenty of turn out. Still whenever we run at the Shadeland Pond, the wind machine seems to kick into high gear. Here are some highlight videos from the day. I'm not going to post all 24 vids, just the best selection from the day including how not to race Outboard tunnels. We all had some form of bad luck that day from, servo's de-mounting, submarines that stayed down a long time, collisions, wind back flips, and the most amazing rigger stunt flip in the open class.

Here is the first - Q Offshore heat 3
