    winter and the N.E.

Yeh, the winter sucks. I think my left index finger is suffering from throttle trigger deprivation.

We would probably have to go down below Virginia to find a lake that isn't frozen.

My white UL-1 that was supposed to be beefed up cracked in the turn fin area BIG time and also around both sponsons. I am debating whether to repair it or get a different ride all together. Do you have any ideas?

I no longer have a supply of CF as I have fallen victim to the economy. I do have some pieces left if you need a piece.

    Keep in touch.

Time to dust off the cobwebs

I managed to find a new hull and motor. It shouldn't take long to dust off the cobwebs and install the hardware into the new ride.

Jay has to replace his motor, ESC, and batteries. I don't know how far along he is at this point.

How far along are you? Let me know if you're ready to go I'll meet up with you.

HI, I am pretty new to boats, and I live in Middlefield near Lake Besek- looking to learn (tired of spending more time fixing and replacing parts than running). If anyone is in my area and wouldn't mind a tag a long, let me know

                  thanks

Would be happy to have you join the two of us at Dooleys Pond. There is a State ramp that is not far off of Rt-17 near the Middletown/Durham town line.
We sometimes meet there after work around 4:30. We also try to get together early on Saturday mornings between 7 & 8 a.m.

PM me with you contact information and we'll get together.

thanks- PM sent. If Dooley pond is where I'm thinking of (on the East side of rt 17?), it's only 10 min from my house.

Dave, traveling from Durham on Rt-17 head towards Middletown.
There use to be a pizza parlor called King pizza, it has changed its name and I am not sure what it is but you are close at this point,

continue driving and you will see the pond on your right.
Look for the Dooley Pond sign and slow down to take your next right.

You will see an small boat ramp sign to go right. I looks like someones driveway. You are now less than a minute from putting your boat in the water.

                          See you soon.

Gary good to hear from you, hope your boat is on schedule.

sounds good. Hopefully I still have a running boat- I had a hot motor this morning, seems to be ok, but got up to 175 deg!

Check for blockage or kinked line, that is uncomfortably hot.

yes, way too hot! that one of the things I've learned the hard way. water flow was good. still a mystery. Jan from Kintec gave me a few things to check- we'll see. Ran it dry for a second or two, and seems ok.
