Just DO IT! It's a good time fellas. You don't need to be Martin Truex to race toy boats either.

The race site location is at 50 Point Conservation Area off the QEW (expressway) easily reached from Buffalo for all the western NY FE racers and from Ohio as well. The classes are filling out nicely with some very notable FE racers from Michigan making the trip this year. For the serious amp hogs there is the 'King of the Pond' class - totally open to any power type (Nitro, Gas, FE) so come on out, bring your big Cat, Mono, Rigger, Sport Hydro - throw it in there and lets see who 'rules'. I know there will be 'twins' - so far a Gas twin rigger, and I know of at least one 8S twin Cat.

Classes that will be running for sure (based on current entry):

      P Limited Mono
      P Limited Cat
      P Limited Sport Hydro
      P Mono

Classes we need at least one more entry to run:

1/10th Scale - there just has to be one more boat out there to make this class! If you haven't seen these beauties run before - they are fantastic to watch as they run CCW just like the full sized boats! I know there are a few kicking around here in Ontario - now is the time to bring it out and join the fun. Some of the Michigan gang from MMEU will be coming to this race and they have some strong boats and some great drivers. They race 1/10th scale every club race and will help anyone who shows up. They are consummate ambassadors of FE! MMEU #2-22.jpg

I'm working on some more tenth scale racers from our club Steve. Mike and Joe are pretty serious about coming and if Harold's work situation allows, I'm positive he'll load up that sweet sweet trailer. Tyler beats Frank up every time he's at the pond too.

If I had more time I would totally purpose build a beast for the Lord of the Ring class. I have some silly 8s pig motors for it too. Wait..........what if I put 8s in a Thomas Stealth?........dang it.

Guys, this is a good time and a chance to just hang out with model boaters. They truly are the salt of the earth. Politics get put on hold. The home fires burn without us for a few days. We get to play with toy boats, meet people we only knew as avatars, and laugh our silly a$$es off. It's a nice respite from the daily grind. There really is NO down side. Please consider it.

By all accounts our Can-Am for 2023 was a huge success, it was great to see old friends again and meet some new ones too.

Mark your calendar for August 24 & 25, 2024 and we hope to see you then.

This year's Oneida Cup was won by young Tyler Davis with perfect scores in several classes.

Tyler was also crowned "King of the Pond" winning our Open Class.

Team USA won the "Can-Am Challenge" this year making the series five to four.
