Vids and pic of my 78mph Black Jack 29 V3!

Well as some of you may know i have been tinkering with this BJ 29 V3 with some different motors and props etc. Well today i took the latest setup to the lake and ran 77-78mph back to back constant speeds using the 4074 2200KV with a sharpened and balanced X442 prop from Rocket City Racing. The boat was very stable for these speeds and this size of hull. I do have one time on video where it hit a little wake and about lifted at almost 80mph!!! But i backed off the throttle and it eased right back into the water.... Hull is VERY predictable and flys well ! This thing has been a blast and handles FAR better then i ever thought it would.

Here is the first run got a pic of the GPS here in the boat.

Went for another run after charging the batteries and got 78 MPH here didnt get a pic of the GPS but i do have the GPS data screen shot!

And here are a couple videos from todays running as well.

    Almost lifted here one me!

And 2 more vids i got today running it.

Well guys my luck ran out today.... boat came out of the water at top speed and ended up sinking before i could get to it. Lost everything!!!

Put extra flotation on these things or u will be sorry. I'm now out over 900$. If id had only had some common sense and put extra flotation in the thing.... Oh well looks like im in the market for a fast cat or a rigger.

Well I feel your pain. I just lost a $1500 boat myself. I learned a lesson in floatation myself.

That sux kfxguy trust me i feel ur pain as well! I'm so mad at myself... i know better as this isn't my first boat. Its been awhile but still..... ARGG!!!! My GPS was in it as well. If i was out on my bass boat i think i could have got to it in time no problem. But i was at the pond with the guys from the club running boats this evening. We couldn't get the trolling motor etc on the boat fast enough once we seen it was actually sinking!! So i just watched it sink..... If there was a place to get my bass boat in id go in there with my structure scan and go get it tomorrow! But of course no place to put my big boat in.... ugh...

Thats pretty fast for a single drive. Sorry to hear it went under though.

Though... perhaps this could be your chance to build something faster and better from scratch? :) It'll be the cheaper way to go anyways.

Alright, gotta ask......ever had a boat go rogue?

I watched a very experienced racers boat do just that a few weeks ago. Burned into shore no where near 78. A 78 mph impact with one of those row boats would have catastrophic.

Well guys when a customer of mine found out this had happened he reminded me he was a certified diver... Guess what we found tonight on the bottom of the pond.... It was still beeping! So i assume the ESC is ok and the batterys as well. The balance connector wires fell out of the connectors and had some crud around them... Not sure if i want to try and fix that or just get some new batterys and toss them. What do you all think? Also i blew the motor out it really well and it seems to turn just fine! should i spray some wd-40 down in it or???

                            I know a guy

BTW Just tested my ESC and motor and they are working perfectly!

So what hull should i get next that will perform like this with my motor "4074 2200kv" but stay together if it happens to take flight again??

Just another one of those and reinforce it and add a bit more floatation to it. I can't think of anything that will turn that well and go that speed.
