    33" MHZ Mystic short run

Having issues with boat wanting to hook right. Pulls to the right at low speeds but rudder is perfectly straight. Single motor. Any ideas?

Slack in the rudder? Wiggle it at the bottom. Should have barely any movement. I shoot for zero movement. Steering rod bending? Check it at the point where it passes through the transom. Bad servo. Might have got some water in it. Corroded connection. Make sure you put some dielectric grease the the receiver connections. Glitch. I've had a bad receiver connection and it cause a glitch in my mono. Once I figured that out and cleaned the connections it worked perfectly again.

I've checked the things you mentioned and all seem good. The servo seems ok and i don't think there is a water issue with the servo connection to receiver but still may need to check that further. I took some pics of the rudder to get some more input. Is this rudder too long for this setup? The rudder side is where it pulls to and also where it leans at slower speeds.

I'm not sure. The rudder does sit pretty low and the thick part could be causing some drag at slower speed but I don't think enough to make it hook like that. My Rivercat did that right at first and I can't remember what I did to fix it. Is the rear end swinging around? If so move the batts further back if you can. Do it did it when turning or slowing down? Maybe the servo speed is too fast or the throw is too far. Maybe the steering rod isn't stuff enough? If Keith built it I doubt any of these are your issue. It's likely a tuning or electronics issue. A maybe try and get your check where mine is. I set mine about 8 3/4 to 8 7/8 from the rear of the sponson, forward.

My 840 hooks all over the place at low speed, mines a twin but has the same issues when going slow. Dehydral hulls will turn and hook if they have a slight lean running at slow speed. You need to get it up on plane quick, almost goose it out of the hole. I'm not saying floor it, but bump it up on top of the water then go from there. Keep it running on top and take medium speed wide turns, fast long straights. You may need to adjust cg a little from seeing the hop. And like Travis said I would turn your servo speed down on your radio. There is a vid of mine in the vid section, you can see me spin it out a couple times, you just have to get it dialed in and used to driving it. Being a single it will have torque wanting to pull it right.

Try turning your steering travel down on the tx.
