New Rivercat best on 5s and 6s

I picked up a new prop from Dasboata. I had already tried one of these props but lost it in the lake last outing. I didn't have time to do another so I got my buddy Dasboata to hook me up. From the looks of things last time I knew this prop was going to put the smack down on my m645. Boy was I ever right! Last outing on 5s with m645 was like 76.7mph. That was with an even shorter rudder than I ran last time. Here's the video

Now on to 6s. I was a little nervous. Left the mid length rudder. Please note I made a mistake in what I said in the video. Last time I ran it and it went 95.6, it was on 7s. Not 6s. 6s actually went faster this time than 7s.

I'm very impressed in how fast it is on 6s with only 1900kv. I think in turning under 40k rpm right now too according to my logs. It has some prop walk that I'm countering with rudder right now. I'm being hard headed still and I keep telling myself "it's not s saw boat" but it kinda is. So now I'm gonna shim the strut over a little until the boat goes straight with the rudder pointed straight. I've seen the rudder scrub 3mph off the speed.

I sent the prop back to Dasboata for some tweaking. The first go with it I wanted it unmodified, so he just sharpened and balanced it. We talked the other day and he said he can get more out of it. I'm going on vacation so I don't need it anyway...I have some other props on the way to play with I can't wait to get my hands on.

It's a lehner 2250 and a castle mamba xl2 Esc that I modified for water cooling and epoxy coated the whole circuit board. Guess my water proofing works because I got some water in the hull a couple weeks ago. Speaking of water cooling, my temps got to a max of 179f from heat soak on the ride back to me. Water doesn't flow well at low speeds with my sponson pickup. I've got some reshaping to do on the pickup. This is my first sponson pickup and it's home made so it's experimental. I'll get it tweaked. The temps under speed were like 117-120f which acceptable.

Thanks. Close to my goal pretty quickly with this boat. Couple more tweaks.....

Just looking at your Recolectrix batteries. What made you go with those? I might have to pick up a few. They aren't expensive at all!

Honestly, I saw Keith Bradly and Joel had been running them and they both have some of the fastest boats, so I decided to try them. First I ordered a pair of 3s to run in my Rivercat. When I got them in, I went to the lake with all the different lipos I had (I did cycle them a few times too btw) and did some back to back runs. The revos easily came out on top. I ran Spc, max amps, and venoms against them. Was a pretty decent difference. So after that I came home and sold all my batteries and bought all revos and haven't looked back since.
