OK, so this is way high-up on my cool factor! Very interesting to have the different perspective. Thank you so much for posting and sharing.

It won't be long before we're accusing you guys of aerating the water for the SAW runs!

Keep boating, stay loose and keep the bow down!

Ha! And here I thought all this time you guys had submerged bungee/catapult system which is why the electrics seem to suffer from 'voltage sag'. Shows you what I know. At least for our latest event last week, we didn't have tornadoes overnight on the first day like we did last year. Nothing like making a good pass while watching a 3 foot trailing vine (6 foot total) trailing the rudder...and then trying to decide if you want to risk the extra heat generated make the follow-up pass! It sure kept the model stable and planted well! Sorry, couldn't resist.

Been there too. Plus I forgot to mention that NO trained light tripping ducks were harmed during record runs

Quad copters offer a great platform for aerial photography and video. What did they use Tony a GoPro?

                  Jim,

Not sure. Here's his YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC07...-3SyTuM16K_E1w

I'll likely see him Saturday at RCX & ask.

That is very funny! We had to change the rules in IMPBA for jumping fish. Now I know what you guys do with waterproof servos submerged in front of the lights. After all, you can't trust trained ducks. My question is, do you bind another RX for the 3rd channel since you're not really driving anyway? All kidding aside, you guys are certainly putting up some very good numbers over there and it is great seeing the incremental increases from both organizations on both coasts. As for the guys in MI, I'm sure they claim advantages for the density of the water at a given temperature. If I'm not mistaken, collectively we are putting up speeds well above the Germans in many classes. Maybe they just haven't found the right pond with less slippage. I will say it would be nice to have a rowing course with more run-up for some of the models.

Back to the subject at hand, maybe we'll have to find someone here to do similar videos here. I'm very curious about the setup for the quad. The video quality has certainly come a long way in the past few years for the miniaturized stuff. The real trouble will be finding someone that is willing to fly in the wind we find ourselves running-in a lot of times!
