    Afternoon With The Mono's

I got an early day and the sun was shining in Vancouver. Dogs in daycare meant free time for Shawn
So I charged up my 4s packs and packed up the AC twin and the R&S Pursuit monos.
The AC Boats Lazer 40 runs twin Castle 3434 outrunners on 8s and a completely custom(by Lonewolf) steerable outdrive unit pushing 442 props
The Pursuit runs a Castle 1515 on 4s pushing a PropShop 4514/3 blade prop

Yup, the first boat running is her. All good so far. May need to shim the drive pivots a hair as there is slight up/down play.

What a fantastic running boat, I love the video, any chance we can see the steerable out drives? And as said, it is propelled by out runners?
Too many boats, not enough time...

Yes it has twin Castle outrunners. I got them some time back from Ben at FighterCat.

I really like how it can power out of a corner with the steerable drives.

With the props spinning inward it was spinning out though. Dave did a awesome job on these and so far water lubrication is working for the prop shafts which is great because as you can see, there is no seal.
I have those bushings on the propshaft end because I wanted to leave room for other props that may have longer hubs such as ABC.

Awesome, thanks for the pictures! Yeah, that custom out drive looks trick! Love a twin mono with steerable out drive no less. All the plumbings and the servo connections are ingenious!

They are 1100 kv Chris. I still have a bit of hop in her and I fear that I have the drives too deep in the water. I gotta get some more time on it. Just glad I was finally able to finish paint on it. Boy, who woulda thought matching up an old white paint job would be so tough to match.
