Well, our stock version in electric is 2960KV 2881 motor and 70A ESC, and the tray box is 190*600mm.

When the P-Ltd OPC Tunnel phenomenon started up in the PNW some time ago, I saw the video and HAD to build one - TS-2/REK lower/AQ 1500 SV-27 motor & AQ ESC. Loved it. Raced at WW IV in 2008 in a 4-boat class. Got lucky & won ist place. Then as time went on the boats & running gear got more sophisticated, faster, and took more expertise to construct, tune and drive. After building my fifth OPC Tunnel I was outclassed so I stopped racing the class. Besides, only a 400 mile trip to AZ would make the class available to me. In L.A., D19 started running P-Ltd Sport Hydro and then two years ago the SCSTA opened a P-Ltd Cat class up with a 3-entry minimum and now there's at least twice as many sign-ups with the class still growing. One new local P-Ltd Cat convert has a nice P-Ltd Opc which has no one to play with and as for me I still remember the excitement tunnel racing provided and would love to give it a go again minus the need to finance/build/tune a raceable rig.

So here's the point I'm (finally) getting to : The Caudwell F1 looks like a very likely candidate to spur a new Ltd one-design class that may well possibly be accepted by the SCSTA as an addition to their schedule, which now has added 1/10 scale and 1/8 scale to the sign-up roster. The boat's all there (with possibly a P-Ltd NAMBA approved motor swap,) and I know for a fact that many D19 racers are disappointed at the decline in tunnel racing that could be re-energized if this boat gets brought in with the important caveat that it's basically ALREADY "ready to race".

I'm ready to get something going .

EDIT : Just went back and watched the video a few more times.I'd say that this boat, if it becomes a race class, should be run JUST AS IT IS in the video- no motor upgrades. 3S / 120A ESC / 2881KV motor. As long as spares are available to back up any "possible" failures this (at least in my opinion) can be just what the doctor ordered to energize what one of the intents of "spec" racing started out as : an affordable, easy to run entry level attraction.

I understand the rules are in place for a reason but, being that it is based of something real in full size, doesn't that make it fit sorta?
One of the reasons I've never liked OPC in electric racing is that it's not like the real boats as this is. Other OPC's don't trim the nose down in corners like this. It's something that would get me into OPC electric toys.

Unit sells by itself if you know where to look but, yes, it does not come off in one piece. Does the real one? If I could make it come off in one unit would it be legal?

Could be 2 classes. Vintage (curent OPC's) and this in Modern.
