Mystery mono hull - positive identification requested. Thanks to Jim (Jevmax) for the hull and allowing me to test it out at his place.
39" long 11.5" wide and fast sitting still! specs are in the video. I filled the front with US composites foam and added another layer of FG to the floor. Thought about CF, but liked the translucent nature of the hull.
Trying to get the club to give Q-mono a go, but will probably end up racing the T-boats with this one..
This is maiden voyage. 47 mph...
So, I have raised the trim tabs out of the way and added some room for a 455 prop. I'm glad I made myself a flooded stuffing tube. I found that shoe goo is a great seal and adhesive for the front of the tube. Also more flexible than JB or Epoxy. I put a foam "bushing" in to stop the goo, then poured in the shoe goo from the motor side. There should be about a half an inch of goo sealing the tube.
