AC Lazer with Lonewolfs Steerable outdrives

I got all but the Hatch paint done on this beast. It all started with Dave's(Lonewolf) outdrive that he custom made for me, A pair of Castle 3434 outrunner motors, a pair of customized Castle ICE2 200 amp controllers. Then I got my hands on an old gasser 40"AC Boats Lazer 40, cleaned it up and went to work.
I got a little punch happy with the throttle on the rough seas:

The turning is REAL good once I got the props going the right direction: OUTWARD rotation on a mono. It powers out of the corners nice but you certainly can get carried away with that.

And I am really impressed with the workmanship Dave.

Man that thing looks like it runs real nice! I've got some of Daves hardware for a big mono, top notch craftmanship for sure. I just got to figure out what hull I want to use it on, this time I'm gonna build a big go fast mono of some kind. That Kilmer hull I did was nice but it's not designed for 60-70mph and it's heavy, that thing ended up a little over 21lbs. RTR and it'll still run almost 70mph...

Lol, yeah, I have a 2028/mount and a 47" Delta Force packed away somewhere around here. I'll get to it, one day.

21lbs??? Holy carp. Should be able to shave 5-6 lbs off that though some of Keith's boat have had some weight to them.

So an update on this one. I blew an outrun er so replaced them with TP 4030's at 1180kv. I also changed collets to MBP and set them tight against the Aeromarine seals.
It took a bit but I got CG reset finally and now she is good. Since this vid I have made a parallel connector so both battery banks fire both ESC's. The motors are now in sinc! And I have on logs a nice 9min run and batteries at 3.72 volts. Pretty good I think, BRING ON YOUR GASSERS!!!
