    Rivercat new best!

Went ran it today, finally. Had to buy a new motor because I could not get my other motor to neu and back fast enough (I'm very impatient about some things!). We are slated to have some very nice weather for the next couple weekends. Today was perfect. About 68 degrees, no wind...sun out...water calm. Perfect for making some fast passes! So Steve (bought a new one from ose) 2 day shipped it to me. Awesome! Broke it in the other night and put it in last night. I made a few other changes too..not sure if any of them were responsible for the speed increase. I put better caps, shortened the wiring, and dasboata did me up a prop. His latest one he did for me picked up 1 mph over the prop me and him did together. Basically did a copy of my fastest prop, sent to him and he tweaked it for me. Then rested both today and that was the result. I have had so many changes going on since I wrecked it on 8s, my adjustments may not even be back right. I do know what counts is its faster! I think it's got a touch more in it with adjustments...but regardless. ...Here's where I'm at now (video shortly!)

I love the sound and how the boat slices thru the water.
I would expect your breaking the 100 mark soon!

Way to go Travis, and Chris. Now that your ceramics are broke in, maybe switch to the Lightning Lube oil in them. Lets see if Boca's claims are correct.

                    thanks!

Only the rear is ceramic. What is Bocas claim?

Btw, I want to do some math (ugh, I never thought I'd be saying that!)
So my speed was 83.0mph on 6s today. With the same Prop I've been 83.9...and I think my fastest 6s pass was 84.5...I just can't find the video of it. So....

I went 83.0 with the pointed tip m645..... then swapped to a rounded tip m645, it went 83.5...which is actually one mph faster because when the batteries are fresh, the first three or four full passes I lose .5mph every pass. So account for voltage loss it would be an even 84.. the original prop i started with today is 1.5mph slower than a previous pass with the same prop, 6s but different strut height. So, I'm 1.5mph off because of the strut adjustment. Factor in the second prop tested, picks me up another 1.0mph, and say I'm down 2.5mph from where I should be. Isn't math fun? Lol. I just need to get my butt out there and do some adjusting! The strut height on this boat is extremely important. ...1 mm off and it will lose 2 to 3 mph easily..... overall, I'm happy with it tho. It runs fast and stable.

It really takes very little extra prop in the water to change things. I just put a pair of Etti 120 ESC's (300+grams) in the Fantasm in place of the Flier(650+grams) and my ABC props went from 120 a amp draw to 157. Just from taking that weight off the nose and changing CG a couple of degrees. And what?, putting the props deeper by a mm or two.

So on Boca's site they claim the oil to work much better at 40,000+ rpm. I have some of the Oil here but no bearings yet for the new can TP's that I put in there.

Guess I'll order some oil then. Not sure if I'm going to run it again tomorrow. I just finished my son's hydro so we may just run it tomorrow. Who knows tho....

Be careful with those etti esc's. I had a 150 and it could not handle this setup. It would get hot quick. The boat was faster with the etti tho. What's your temps look like on the ettis?

Thanks buddy! I know...I'm sooooo close. I'm excited and dissapointed at the same time. I had a set back with the motor that messed me up for three weekends so that was a major set back.....I'll get it tho!
