TFL Round Nose Hydro ( Libero)

This is not a new addition to my fleet, some of you might have seen another thread with the video. I originally got this from Ron1950. I added the vertical fin and redid some of the set up. Recently I saw another thread posted by T.S. Davis and it reminded me of how much i like this little hydro.
I wanted to try the CNC1642 series prop that Kintec sells as "M642", it is hot again here in So CAL (100*) and the x642 was just a bit too much. I was curious to the de-tongue feature of this CNC prop. Glad to say that I like this prop a lot. It does "unload" the motor and runs a bit cooler!

        Thanks guys!
Driving skills... thanks for the kind words, I still would not torture my fellow boaters in a race.

TP Power 3630 10D ( 2100kv) , this was one of the two TP motors I mentioned to Doug Peterson when he was asking for motor ideas for his club. I have been running this motor on this hydro and a ML PS-295 Tunnel since March and really like it. TP changed the spec and I believe all the guys who wanted the motor got a slightly lower kv rating version. I believe they got the 1950 kv. Did you order one?

Do you think a castle 1415 2400kv would push that little boat on 3s or 4s nicely? Can you post some interior pics?

yes sir, Pics coming right up: DSCN5214_5571.jpg DSCN5216_5573.jpg Pardon the black marker on the FG clothes that I was laying up. Didn't know the Epoxy will smear out the ink like that!
4s may be a tad too much for this hydro, when I switched from a Proboat 1800 to the 2100kv motor, I had to put an air dam under the tunnel.

No, I had order three back in March, still got a spare one. I saw the pictures of the Proboat motor, I personally do not like the wires coming out of the side, just my personal opinion. I love their discontinued motors though, well.....

So the air damn helped noticeably? I'm at a point with my rivercat where it won't stay down. It's probably due to the weather changes we are having now....the wind is noticeably more than normal.

                          Thanks!
I had three pairs of batteries that day. Two of them are Turnigy Zippy ( 40C and 45C) and one pair is Thunder Power G6 45C.
They are all 5000mah 2s Lipos, BTW.
The particular run that I uploaded to YouTube is one of the Turnigy pairs but I forgot which discharge C rating it was.

Well, on my first try on that motor the boat caught air and flipped, I adjusted the strut and it was still a bit unstable, so I thought it's time to try something different, and i remembered Properchopper had used an automobile windshield wiper refill for one of his boats. The problem today is that you can't buy a cheap refill at an auto store anymore, they come packaged with the whole deal. I had to ask the clerks for just the refill and they got me a pair from the back of the store, don't know what is the deal, maybe they just want people to buy the more expensive variety...
With the 1800kv motor on 4s, there was nothing that could upset the hull, but with this motor, the placement of the batteries become critical. On mine I had blue printed the sponson heels even before the first run, so I couldn't tell if it made any improvements.
For a Zoom-Zoom guy like me, I enjoy this boat alot.
