O yea....one more thing....once again my hatch sealing setup didn't let me down....it was upside down for a while and sitting low in the water (8s ain't light in that little hull) and guess what.....no water in the hull!
my first 8s rivercat attempt....fail!

O yea I gotta ease into it a little more. I think my plan now is to use a real 4s pack on the left (instead on the added wiring and a 1s packed added to the 3s) and then add my strut, shorter rudder and dasboata is tuning some of my props. I should get to 100 on 7s. 8s is clearly too much power for this hull. Maybe with less prop.....but what I have now is just working to good....32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

btw...upon further inspection i found a small crack in the stuffing tube epoxy. i removed all the epoxy and i'm starting over. i'm adding an aeromarine stuffing tube seal and using carbon fiber tube to go through the hull where the stuffing tube goes through. i'm thinking about removing the motor mounts and putting the new kintec on in ( i got a couple the other day and i like them....very very adjustable) this will help when i decide to put a 1527 neu in it.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

One explaination for part of the 1.7 miles could be when it came out of the water the flipping action could have caused some of the extra distance also the flipping causes slight accelleration which means it probably didn't quite go 91.6mph either. It deffinetly didn't look near as fast as your 95mph pass.Last edited by flraptor07; 09-24-2014, 04:01 PM.Comment

Hey Travis you came a long way in such a short time. It's a perfect example of what people can do if they pay attention, ask questions, and just listen ..... i just want to say good job. Next time when you are out there do a little warm up on your packs. Even do a few light passes first. This gets the cells working and will actually net u more speed. I actually get a minimum of 3mph or more if I warm up first rather than driving out and doing a pass.my youtube videos http://www.youtube.com/user/chris81983?feature=mheeComment

I agree with Chris, my fastest pass is always my second or third after everything is warmed up.Comment

Didn't have a very good outing today. I flipped it twice and stripped the flex shaft. I think actually I never tightened the flex all the way because the collet was over a turn and a half loose. The water was pretty rough today. The wind was blowing pretty hard. Because I used the recovery twice, I threw it in to get the boat a third time when the flex came loose...the recovery went about 5 feet and died. Nice. It was slower today but I've got to work the bugs out again. I also ruined my prop somehow. It's all beat up.
