Thanks. Wife turned off camera before I could get a shot of the Gps. Went out to try to make a back up pass and blew water line off the Esc, Needless to say I didn't make it, flooded the boat about 50 yards into run.

You must use clamps on water lines past 70mph. Ask me how I know.....lol

Hi, nice speed on your JAE
What is your set up: lipo, motor and prop?
I run my JAE for Naviga regulations 5 minute Oval racing on 5S but due to run time can't expect high speeds unless I go for SAW and don't worry of power consumption.
On straight SAW runs I woluld like to test some fast setups thats why I am asking.
            Great job on your boat.
Over here in Europe JAE's are considered slow power draining boats due to regulations but my set up made everyone reconsider,
fast and good reasonable power drain.

Good job, a little nerve racking running a rigger that quick? Just asking because mine will be in the water soon and I may try for some speed.

Actually its not bad at all running that fast, I enjoy it. Speed Freak here. I'm thinking of trying it on 6s for a pass and see what it will do.

I'm running a CC1515 2200 on 5s Giant Power 6500 65c batteries, turning a 1650 back cut. With this set up I get about 1 1/2 minutes of run time, not very long but at that speed its long enough. This Jae is not stock, the tub and sponsons are wider then stock. You can see how much wider the tub is in these pic's thats a 5s 6500 battery in it.

                    Thanks for your reply.
I thought run time would be short at that speed and that amp draw is quite high.
I have to keep amp draw at aprox 55amp to run full 5 minutes with 5S 5400mah lipo and 1900kv running laps at 65mph
Mine isn't stock either but only the sponsoon have a higher angle of attack for lower amp draw, made riding pads with 2deg more angle and boat is much faster and with less amp draw but in rough water racing handling is slightley compromised, but for speeding alone give it a try it works great.
For fun I have run my JAE without runtime limitations and registered on 4S over 77mph top speed with over 120amp draw, not bad
Will give it a try on 5S what speed it can reach without runtime issue.

This unfortunatley low quality video shows my JAE on a test run before the race.
                            Motor is 4056 1900KV ,ESC Swordfish 220 Pro+, Maxamp 5S 5450mah lipo, Octura M440 prop.
The Maxamp lipos are my best choice to comply with Naviga racing regulations for weight limitation but with enough capacity and power to race on a 5 minute session.
Naviga racing is based on a 5 minute session, we all race toghether and who does more laps in least time wins.
If lipo weight wasn't an issue I could use higher capacity lipos and have more punch and past 5 minutes runtime.
I am quite happy with this setup and racing results confirm it the fastest of the circuit.
