First up is a TFL Round Nose, this one I got from Ron1950. TFL sells these under the name Libero these days but if I am correct this predates the RTR .

I added the vertical fin and trued the sponson pads, quite happy with the result!
The other boat is a Vac-U-Pickle. Got it from jrmagooo, built by Doug Smock!
They don't break the sound barrier but I love them!

Very nice.
Some of my favorite boats are not the fastest boats in the shed either. Just love the way they look & 'feel' on the water.

Tim that's not my shovel nose its yours....I never made it go that fast in the one and only time I ran it.....(you made it look cool with that tail fin also)...but it did make me smile when on its maden run it ran good ....at the time I put it all together I didn't know squat about hydro's...( still don't know much lol)...watched your popeye vid with the 447/3 blade on it...its really going fast and looked great also

Ron, hope it didn't bother you as I keep calling "Ron's Hydro" , I have a habit of calling these boats by their previous owner's names, just a strange personal quirk. Guess I am a silly guy, I like to give credit to them and also feel friendly with them.
Popeye runs pretty well but it has a temp issue that I am too lazy at the moment to look into. None of my other boats have such problem and honestly I don't think it's the set up. That Neu1515 1y runs hot and the other motor which was a Leopard 4074/2000kv runs cool.

It came with the original AquaCraft SV27 BL motor and Gen. I ESC, even that ran really well but I did not realize one of the cooling tubes was blocked and the cap puffed. Now it has brand new UL-1 motor and AC 60A ESC with the long cap, all components run cool.

TPPower Motor in the Round Nose

I swapped out the Proboat 1800kv motor with the TPPower motor. It is a 3630 ( 36x60) 10D (2100kv), since the motor is "d" wind, I am using a Turnigy 120a ESC with low timing.
Also installed an air dam ( a la Properchopper's windshield wiper refill variety )

My Latest Addition to my fleet!

My second ML PS295, I am in love with all ML's boats but I know I won't be able to build them correctly so I did the next best thing that I could: patiently waiting for them to appear in the F/S forum !
I got this with a brand new Leopard 4074/2200kv, but since I am using the SeaKing 120a ESC, I wanted to have more margin, I bought a TP motor, it's a 3630 ( 36x60) sized, 10D wind , 2100kv. So far I love it. It's also in my Shovel nose from the above vid. I made a new "raised" inner lid for the radio box to accommodate the CC cap bank that I put on the SeaKing 120a ESC.

I had this for two years but I did not run it simply because I wasn't sure how it will run after the "restoration" , but this is my early summer project and I realized I had to reseal practically every seam in the sponsons. ( the heat and climate changes did a number on this ) , I also redid the stuffing tube , original plan was an UL-1 motor but ultimately I went for a TPPOWER Motor 3640 7D ( 3670/2100kv) , Seaking 120a ESC.
