    Rivercat and cheetah videos!

Up until now the only reliable boat I have is my cheetah. Well I only have two running right now so I guess I should say it's my go to boat if I don't want to have problems. Had a little bad luck with my rivercat last time out so I guess I'm a little gun shy. Well today I had an awesome time running both of them. The rivercat ran flawlessly. Here's the setup details...

    2200kv 1515 castle motor
    Fightercat 101 esc
    Octura 442 prop
All my batteries I ran are 5000mah 50c
Strut level, 1/8" above flat on the table

First I started on 4s....ran for a bit, checked everything... Ran cool. Ran those batts out.
Next, 5s...same thing. Esc barely warm and motor barely warm. I recharged my 3s pack and decided to carefully try it on 6s. Same thing. Barely got warm. It boogies on 6s.my cheetah does 62.0mph and I think it will walk away from it.

I would have on the 6s video but I had to call it a day. It sat upside for a while till we could get the boat out and get it. I messed up the cheesy rudder bracket earlier yesterday on my recovery boat while bringing the cheetah in. Anyway, it had taken on a good bit of water, I had tested it earlier and it didn't leak so maybe I didn't have the top on tight enough... I dunno. It got flipped back over and I started driving it again and it started going backwards by itself. I think the mr200 receiver that's supposed to be waterproof isn't so waterproof. Might be because I forgot to put dielectric grease on all the connections. Sa any rate, it's a work in progress and I can't think of everything lol. I'll remember for next time! As a matter of fact, I'm gonna go throw the dielectric grease in my box right now.

Overall I'm super pleased in how good it ran. I work the bugs out and I know it'll easily top 70mph.

You need to get her loosened up a bit there Travis.

Think I should angle the prop up a little? Move the batts back? I thought it ran pretty good. I ran it into the wind a couple times and it never blew over. The cheetah would everytime headed to the left... That's why in the video I was going slow back to the left. I was thinking about going up a little on prop. What's the next step from a X642?

M445,m545,m645 The bigger prop up with no strut adjustment will loosen her for you. Possibly batteries back. Where is CG? Start with 30-32%

Funny all this time I didn't realize everybody was posting videos. The rivercat is really flying, think it has the cheetah by a bit.

Funny you posted this. Me, my son and his friend were comparing the cheetah and rivercat videos about an hour ago. It's agreed the rivercat looks like it easily has the cheetah. I was running the cheetah exactly the same way as when it hit 62mph.

Have you seen the mini rivercat video?

You're only running a x642 on the /Cheetah? Throw a detongued x450 on her, move the cg and strut up, and let her rip!

I love the look of a total-wrap CF cat, way cool. I don't know much about the rivercats, I assume they don't come CF'd nor as a RTR?

That's not a wrap. That's a true carbon fiber hull. It does not come as an rtr......
