Ran it today with the M445 Prop, Couldn't run M prop before .187 flex update.
First pass 71 mph, backed up with a 74.1 mph.... I also put the timing back to 15.... Rumor has it these Y motors like timing... Less timing didn't seem to improve temps.IMAG0110.jpg IMAG0111.jpg IMAG0106.jpg
Motley Crew, Neu-Castle 1515 1Y 2200, 22 Volts, 180A ESC, Custom Motor Mount, .187 drive cable. Aero mod.
Best 74.1 mph, Average 71 mph.
LOL... I do make it sound like more than it is. You just need to take the wing effect ( Lift ) out of the boat. I copied a post from here were someone epoxied a 4" piece of windshield wiper blade between the sponsons, mine is about 3" from the front. will try to get a pic tomorrow.

That sounds like something Tony (ProperChopper) had posted... Incidently, he is the current SAW record holder for P-Ltd Offshore (will translate to P-Ltd Cat soon).... 67.77mph using an H&M Drifter and a UL-1 2030KV motor on 4S... That's AVERAGE speed for two 330-foot passes... Pretty amazing.

Very impressive on 4s !!!
And a very cheap and effective mod. the boat would blow over near 50 mph before. The hull is all patched up from those blow overs. Almost junk... If a Motley blew over at 70, it would be toast !!!
Now that I have a season in the books will have to pick up a nice hull to put my goodies in...
That works... no doubt... but at the SAWs last year, some of the Cat guys were still having trouble with blow-overs...
Lift is generated across the deck as well, so I suggested that perhaps a small tape airdam across the deck near the front would help kill some of the lift as well....
Resulted in back to back passes and new SAW records...
It works... try it if you continue having blow-over issues...
