Those are PVC Pipes actually anchored to grid our course here in Fremont, Ca.
We have a permanent RC Boat race facility as some other districts do. With a PVC grid, our course is assured to be accurate as surveyed and records legal ; )
The grid isn't usually visible, but our lake is currently approx 16 feet lower than usual.
I actually took part in the filming of the aerial shots. A friend is avid with a Go-Pro on his copter..
Me thinks that is a not the setup one would get If I bought one today
Miss excite is a Very fast hydro right out of the box. It was top qualifier at the Gary Johnson Grand Prix classic bone stock in the Pltd Sport hydro class.
Actually, I upgraded the prop to a Venom Red (same specs as stock). I do recommend running 4s instead of 3 (as with most rtr boats)
That does look like a little kick ass hydro, but at only 24" long, how is it in race conditions?
Hey Doby!
She's an excellent N-2 sport hydro and could get away with being run as a Pltd at a club level. I wouldn't recommend if you're racing 5 other 30 inch boats, but its not impossible : )
This year she won 1st place at the 2013 nats in N-2 sport hydro.
