Keith. Congrats on the speed. Whats the set up?
My 135 ships today from HPR -
I'm running 3040s and 40.334s on 10s 5000 per side. If I were building another one of these for sport though, I would probably go with 2260s and smaller ESCs to keep weight down and allow it get out of the water at lower speeds. It doesn't really get on top of the water until maybe 60-70mph, which makes it a little hard to drive. I also had to build it without extra bulkheads and supports to keep it under the IMPBA limit of 25lbs. With lipos it comes in at 24.7lbs. I think it could be built to weigh closer to 22lbs.or so, and I think lower speed handling would improve.
I would probably also run higher voltage if not under the 10s restriction to keep current down and allow use of smaller ESCs. I'll post some pics later of the inside...the 40.334s are really a bit large for this hull, so there's not a lot of extra room for flotation.Comment

Great thanks for the info Keith. I plan on doing a sport build w/ mine. Not looking for any speed records. When I saw Hanspeter was back into production, I couldn't pass getting one. I plan to start w/ CC 2028s. Not sure how they will work in it and plan to upgrade in the future, but for now, its what I have so I might as well use them. Amazing how solid that boat looks at 119mph.
Lookin forward to some picsComment
