Pursuit following boat on camping lake

I went down to Seneca lake this weekend to stay with family and decided to follow their pontoon on the way back from our trip to the boaters beach. It was about a 7-10 minute ride but I shortened the video up so it wasn't too boring. I had a blast driving it too, I just wish my dad, who was filming, would have gotten the part where we hit some large waves from another boats wake. This hull handled the lake like a champ the whole time!

    Anyway here it is:

      Thanks, I'm running a leopard 4074 1774kv with a 180A speaking on 5s. The batteries that day were Turning nano-tech 5000mAh 40C

Nice video of how this boat can handle some chop,
I am really liking the hull more and more as I work with mine.
I have been doing some testing and like the x447/3 on mine,
          Using a leopard 4074 1800kv on 4s and 5s.

Also what prop are you using in this setup ?

I was quite impressed with the hull myself. I think it handled the chop very well. Unfortunately, my dad didn't get video of me running over the wake of another boat and it handled even that like a champ.

I've been reading the pursuit chine walk thread and it has made me start to rethink my design. I'll have to start a new thread in the build forum so as not to hijack their thread.

I'm guessing you had it at partial throttle quite a bit, how were the temps?

Ahhh interesting question! I did have to go about half throttle most of the entire way and sadly I found out afterward that my watercooling line was pinched in the boat by the battery and wasn't even running! Yikes! I was worried the whole ride because I thought I wasn't seeing the water flying out the side of the hull but I just wasn't sure. Anyway I got it in and immediately took it apart to feel the motor and ESC, interestingly enough I was able to hold my hand on both for more than 5 seconds so from what I understand, it's safe at least. Wouldn't do it on purpose though that's for sure.

                    Hello,
What prop were you using on that setup in the video ?

X442 but running the boat recently and reading some pursuit threads I'm wondering if i should just switch to a 4s setup at 2200 kv especially when my UL-1 uses 4s. It's more convenient.

Did you gps yours yet on 4s and 5s with that x442 prop ?

I haven't on 4s i was afraid to do it on 4s until i saw others doing it ok with similar kvs. I got 36 on 5s but I'm not sure its accurate because when i took the gps out of the boat it said weak signal. I'm planning doing testing soon and some trim tab adjustment because the front end is bouncing around at higher speeds. I'm considering the switch for convenience and to make the batteries interchangable with the UL-1. I've seen a post where, i think propperchopper said the 2200kv 4s setup was the best

Even if I kept the same motor and went to 4s and a bigger prop i wouldn't know where to start

Can you post some pictures of the boat and setup inside the hull with the cells in place Like rtr ?
On my setup on one 4s 30c 3800mah pack with a x447/3 runs about 4 minutes and gps at 42 mph,
And on 5s temp are a little lower and gps at 47 mph.
And temps are running warm with 80*f water temps at the pond.
