May 18th district race in Carrollton, Texas. The field dwindled down to two ML GP335's. The conditions were brutal windy! you can see as we enter out around the green bouy both of us get some good air off the rollers and then as we come to the start the red/white/blue catches some nice air.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. My GP335 should be getting paint later this week. BTW, what happened to the blue boat?A dream not pursued is not worth holding.

Ok. I will post some pics this weekend. Had hoped to prime the hull last night and paint today but the chance of frost last night meant that the garage was full of plants that needed protection from the cold. As eager as I am to get this thing in the water, I am determined that it won't get wet until everything is completed including the final finish on the hull.
Re: The receiver and antenna. I have taken advantage of all the head room avaialble with Mike's new cowls. I've mounted the antenna vertically inside the boat. Will do some range testing beforehand to confirm signal strength.A dream not pursued is not worth holding.

Didn't get as much done on the weekend as I had thought. Painting the boat in the garage took a back seat to protecting the annuals from frost on Saturday and Sunday night. But progress is being made none the less. I defintely have some touch-ups to do before applying a decals and clear coat.A dream not pursued is not worth holding.

Thanks on the paint scheme. Still have much to learn about the whole build process. As far as enjoying the boat itself. Yep it was a huge rush when I saw it run for the first time despite some hopping coming out of the corners. Unfortunately the boat hasn't seen the water since July when I lost two 5000mah 4s packs to Dave Jones' Locker on the same day. It is a 4S/2P set up and I only had one set of batteries for it.
I was at my brother's cottage on Goergian Bay. The boat actually ran fairly well right off the bench and was in the process of getting it dialed in. After the third run I left the boat along with all my the gear on the floating dock while we had dinner. When we got back my sister-in-law noticed that something had toppled the whole works into the water. We figured it had to be a massive wake from one of the cabin cruisers in the nearby marina.
The lid was on my plastic storage bin and we discovered it on a nearby beach at the far end of the island. that was a relief since chargers, spare transmitters, tools, props etc. were stored in there. My transmitter was submerged in water and never recovered, my two brand new batteries gone to the bottom of the lake . . . recovered one of them a week later and it was puffed. My cowl was also dredged off the bottom nearest the dock and and my boat was seen floating upside down a couple of hundred yeards away.
I decided that the boat would remain on the shelf for the remainder of the season. I had reached my self-imposed spending limit on boats over the past two winters. I do hope to l replace the packs so I could be ready to go again next spring. The boat was fun to build and exciting to see running.
