    Carbon Genisis / 6S / 70+ mph

I have got this boat working pretty good now. At first I had a very hard time with this boat wanting to get up on the nose and make sudden turns and roll over, but after many trips to the lake its flying pretty good. It doesnt turn like my Geico, but it turns ok. I am still running the in-line rudder that came with it so the off-set one might help a little. The high speed from this vid was 74mph, I have had it just over 80 mph now. One thing I have also noticed is that after running around the lake for 5 minutes at 70+ mph, my brain is tired, and I need a break to ponder how friggin fun that was. http://youtu.be/nFTQQunkc8o

I am no expert, but looks like it wants to prop walk. What prop are you using? Nice btw.

In this video I was using a x445, seems like a big prop, but the temps were low so no troubles. To get over 80mph I switched to a prather s230, also a big prop but again temps are low, and no troubles. I am new to the boat stuff, but it seems when the boat is working right, it doesnt work as hard, and the temps stay down. When I first got the boat, it was all over the place, and would get hot real quick. Right now it is really stable, the faster it goes, the better the ride. Very solid at 80mph, no hint of blow over yet. I would like to try a v942 3 blade just to see how fast it will go. Any comments would be welcomed, not many r/c boats around my side of town, and the local Hobby shops dont have any knowledge on boats, let alone parts.

Truxton lake in Bakersfield, CA. The batteries are TP 5000/40c. Also a CC ice 240 esc, and NEU 1515/1/y - (2200kv). I did not buy the motor, esc, batts, and prop for this hull, I had it from a dragboat I destroyed. So by no means am I saying this setup is recommend for the Genisis, this setup is just what I had. I do have Eagletree on it, lots of info. ET shows that the volts are down to 17.2 when its at 80mph, I think thats due to MAH ? or C or both?

Nice job nothing better than using old parts in a new hull and making it scream.

Um...is there a class for this thing. I dont understand the class structure, does it go by hull length, motor, batteries, skill level, speed?. Never been to a R/C boat event. How do I find out if this event is going to happen?
