Apparition Cat 70mph on 5S

Running my Apparition Cat twin motors on 5S 4500mah 30C, T180 Esc, 2560kv, M447.
Can do more with new & better Lipos and make timing adjusments, next test expected to go 75mph.

I bet you have at least 75 in her right now if you did a run in glass smooth water. Give it a shot.

This weekend I have a few boat set-up to test, my Cat on new 2x5S lipo 65C and change the timing on the ESC, it really will fly if water is flat, plus I will try a new setup on my JAE21 in order to reach at least 5 minutes runtime for Naviga regulations at an average speed of at least 65 mph.
My JAE had a really fast setup and ran a few laps at 78 mph but run time is just over 4 minutes and my lipos puffed up, but boy was it running, had to go to lower kv

Good guess, thay are Trackstar 2560kv modified for the water cooling, new high rpm bearings also.

I have one trackstar motor myself with a modified can to fit a water jacket
But never used it yet
thinking of maybe putting it in single 32 river cat hull
On 4s or maybe 5s looking at the way yours go what do you think?
do you have the size and make bearing you are using are they boca?

The motors are excellent quality 6 poles, I run them on 5S and have no ovrheating problems running on M447 that is a big prop at such kv.
I installed the Leopard water Jacket after milling the can.
With just 1 motor take care to check temp and amp draw, I used one on a Rigger with the same M447 prop 4S lipos and it got hot.
With 2 motors the Cat has less amp draw and no problems occured.
The bearings are SKF but Boca will do just as well. the stock ones are useless after first time they get wet. I don't have the size, just went to the store with sample and bought new/better ones

I just sold a new Hort 41" kevlar hull with two Trackstar 2650kv motors I had the motors milled to fit the Leopard jackets the guy should be up and running with it soon on 4s, might have to tell him 5s works well
I might have to buy anothe 2560kv can and try in another twin. I bought my first motor at 2560kv and decided to buy another when it arrived it was a 2650kv
so had to buy another 2650kv so altogeter i have had 3 trackstar motors but not run any yet, glad to her they are good motors.
what timming works best in the twin setup?

Yes I saw they changed the kv on the newer ones, just curious to see if real kv or just fake data.
I use 15° timing and they run really fine. In the video i was testing 0° but not happy with it, don't like the sound either and will go back to 15°.
The chap the milled them is a Top Notch racer here and after opening them gave a very positive note on them, very well built except the bearings.

Do you think a single 2560kv one would run cool in a 22" delta force vortex hydro on 4s? i got the hull just siting here was thinking about trying it

Nice running what rigger is that?

i was kind of thinking the same about the data on the 2560kv and the 2650kv but bought another 2560kv just in case, i think they might be the same motor but hard for me to tell

on some forum some chap says they are rebranded Toro, but if you go to Castle creations your looking at the exact copy of their Truggy motor ???
All data is the same so either they make a good copy or Castle rebrands, don't know for sure but they sure run fine
