    Brushless Micro HydroMite

This is a Micro HydroMite that I built from Doug Forrester's plans.
    16" Micro Hydroplane
    Tacon 2848-3900kv inrunner brushless motor
    SeaKing 35a brushless ESC
Octura .98 flex shaft with 1/8" stub shaft
    Octura x430 prop
    GensAce 2s 1550 25c or 2s 2200 25c battery
OffShore Electric Micro Hardware System strut and rudder

Nice job in speeding up the video to make it look like its faster than it really is.

You're the second person to say that . Shot in close with extreme telephoto so you can actually see the boat instead of a little dot zooming around. That makes it look fast not speeded up like everyone thinks. Sorry, video is not speeded up. Top speed is 47kph with GPS.

Looks really weird, even the waves on the water look like they are moving really fast. Nice setup though! Looks sweet! Have you considered 3s? Would be interesting to see how it performs.

It was very windy in the afternoon that day creating small ripple waves even very close to shore. I was going to try 3s but it is a tight fit in a small boat like this. I could only squeeze a 3s 1300 in the battery compartment but didn't get a chance to try it. On the edge with 2s so I need to play with the setup to settle it down before trying to go faster. Thanks for the complement.

Hi nice Hydro you built their,
I have HK Mini Bolt that runs pretty good on 3s 25c 2100mah packs.
            Running a y535 prop.
But no video of it running yet to show you,
This week end may be I can get some.
I put my cell in side was at back of motor and start of sponsons.

Love it! I have one too and trying to put it all back together-redone, my way. I'm going to attempt a 2445 3860KV on 3s in this build.

Great Video job. I have a hard time keeping the boat in the sceen at that speed and I am farther away to help. Real very cool Congrats! MC

I use the 35A Seakings also, they are great. Does your's get hot at all on this setup?

Thanks Mike. I've watched many boat videos where the boat is just a little dot zooming around. I try to zoom in close enough so everyone can actually see the boat and tell what kind it is. This in turn creates some shakey video and the illusion that it is going faster than it is and exciting to watch. I have boats that go almost twice this speed but aren't any more fun to drive.

You're right, the SeaKings are great ESCs. I have 4 Reef Racer 2's all with 25a SeaKings also and they have worked flawlessly. On the HydroMite in 70f water the ESC, motor and battery (2s 2200 25c GensAce) are all about 90f after a 5min. run.

Nice. I would presume then a 3860kv on 3s with 35A maybe 40 with 30mm prop should be no sweat then.

                        Thank you.
