    LSO Round 2 Aerial View

Here's something a little different. Round 2 LSO heat from 9/23 as shot with a HobbyPartz "Dice cam" on board a Hoverthings HT-FPV.
Just as s a note, there was no FPV involved. I was just guessing on which way to point it.

The video is cool but the audio is just ungodly. Be cool of you cut out the camera audio and put in some music

Thanks B55. I just wish the hobbypartz dice cam made a better quality video. Or that my GoPro was of the newer Hero2 version so I could set it for the 127* FOV. The 170* that mine has is just way too wide and makes things look really small unless you're right on top of them.

I had some more "fun" with the quad last night since it's equiipped with LED lighting (hooked into the retract channel on my radio so it can be turned on/off, red on the left front boom, green on the right and cyan across the back). The air was pretty much dead calm here around 8:30 last night so I took it out and flew it some around the house. At one point, put it up about 100 feet and just started spinning it. Before I got it back down below roof top level there was about half a dozen people from the next street over gathering to check out the "alien".

Chances are some pool noodles cut to wrap around the arms would provide enough flotation to keep it at the surface. My biggest concern is what the water would do to the electronics in it.
I've considered the possibilty of a full shell (saw a neat youtube clip of a flying aircraft carrier one day) but it would require dead calm to fly. Nose that much body area down in a wind and it would have the same effect as big elevator bringing the ground (or water) "up" to meet it at a high rate of speed. Or if it pitched up would probably flip it over backwards. Either way it wouldn't be pretty.

I hve to agree dana. Much better wih music. (might not be rendered in yet and a little off topic since it's not of a boat) I'll justify it by mentioning this was shot with one of the Hobby King hi def "wing cams". Not quite Go Pro quality but a 1/3 of the $299 GoPro price. And waaaayy better quality than the dice cam used for shooting the LSO heat. This was done about 7:45 this morning before I started work. (shot more or less in - around the parking lot and not the best lighting condiions). The local weathercasters had predicted really nasty weather for around quitting time and they were right for a change.
