I get a little more rpms with the m440 , just about same pitch as 42/55 but smaller diameter

So what's the speed difference between the 440 and 42x55? If you're under 120 degrees, you can put a bit more load on the motor. My son's VS1 is as fast as any nitro boat in my district with a slightly back cut 42x55. Keeping it from blowing over in a breeze or race water can be a PITA, but knock on wood it hasnt happened in the last two races.

M440 being slightly smaller with a little less pitch than 42/55 will generate more rpms with less load on the motor specially on a outboard , on a low voltage set up like "4s" is no good for electronics to have alot of load so the freer you could spind the prop the better " I think " don't take my advise for it , as you see on the video my vs1 fe cause there was another one nitro doesn't have a lot of top end but I make out on the turns as the motor was able to unload and slig shot out the corners

The Octura 427 would allow even more rpm and less load on the motor. It doesnt mean it's a better racing prop. I have been running the same motor as you with a UL1 speed controller in two tunnels (42x55) , a sport hydro (V-cut 442) and JAE rigger (ABC H7). All boats come back in the 120's, are reliable (3 seasons) and competetive. That being said......if you're happy with the 440 by all means continue to use it. She turns nice and is comparible in speed to the nitro boats you're running with.

Also, what Doby said. Running with the retrieval boat is a BIG safety no no.

Chilli , my choice of prop has to do a lot with water conditions specially that pond where I run the water is milky until cool weather comes Ones that happens my cold weather prop comes out

I hear you. I've warned a few guys in my district about running props on our pond that the west coast guys heat race with. It did not end good!!
