    Falcon Cat "Wheelie Machine"

I finally found a prop that shows what kind of torque monster the Castle 2028 really is. (the crosswind chop may have helped a little as well)
Either way, this thing is a real hoot to drive. Basicallly a remake of yesterday's GPS run with a couple of slow motion "instant replays" added in.

I didn't have to worry about making penalty laps and was mostly trying to get a 70 mph gps run on tape while still running a resemblance (sp?) of running the track. I don't care what anybody says, chop slows you down since it was off 3 mph from the flat water we had the previous Sunday when my camera wasn't working.

WOW! Any more air under that sucker and you will need a Bigger Prop! :-) Put it in front though. :-) Looks like fun.
Don't forget to put your brain in gear before you engage your mouth! Thanks Dad!

lol and a radio with more channels so I could fly it.
Considering the 17+ lb weight and the amount of torque, I'm surprised it doesn't pull more amps than it does. Less than 200 peak and averaging around 100.

Thanks Scott. I'm pretty happy with the two I have. (poor man's Neu's) Have one in this hull and another in a 47" Promise Hobby mono. Both seem to move pretty well.

You could write a letter to Tamiya asking to use the "Wheely King" name....................

Will adjusting your COG, which will be hard cuz you most likely have them placed in noodle cutouts, bring the nose down AND curb the spinouts?

Looks like a blast to drive....................on the hairy edge!!!!!!!!
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Brian (rckong) said at the lake Sunday I "should have named it US Mail because it really hauls".

I'm going to have to check the cg again to be sure after relocating the rx from the front to the back but don't know if moving it forward would help or not. It may have all been from water conditions too. The lake at Ackerman seems to get "holes" in it when the wind comes up. The Sunday before when we had flat water there were no spinouts and it was a good 3 mph faster. With the 2 blade props I've tried it doesn't "air out" like it does with the 460/3 and recall a comment you made in the build thread saying it was trimmed perfect and not to change anything. The only changes I've made since then was moving the rx to the rear of the boat away from the esc and running the antenna outside to see if it would resolve an issue with it cutting out (it did) and changing the prop to try out the 3 blader.

As for it being a blast to drive. Yeeee-hawww. Makes even this old man feel like a kid.

                      the madness continues

It might not be fast but this thing sure is fun to drive. Thought for sure I'd get 70 out of it in the flat water we had Sunday but guess it was not meant to be. I'm thinking that maybe I have a rx going bad and not seeing full throttle as it was really hard to get the esc to arm. Had to tinker with the throttle trim to get it going. Still wound up with a couple of "Oh sh" moments caught on tape with slo mo replays though.

Thanks Titan. The 2028 is a strong runner. It's rated for 8000 watts and I'm only hitting about 6500 peak with this setup.
