    Pursuit 32, New personal best.

Took my Pursuit out today and tested a different prop w/ it. Before I managed 53mph w/ a m645 on a Turnigy 4s2p 7200 30/40c setup and 15 degree timing, today I managed 56.1mph on Gens Ace 4s2p 10,300mah 30/60c and 11.25 degree timing. Motor is a Leopard 4074 2200kv with a T180. I installed extra caps and direct soldered a parallel setup to it to eliminate parallel adaptors. I can keep the motor cool though. Water was rather warm today, but she got toasty and de-soldered a 6.5cc motor/esc bullet. Nuts. Prop I used was a x447/3 cut down to 42mm & detounged. I need a bigger motor/rotor or a better motor, hull can handle the props, motor can't should drop down in kv and up the voltage to 5s2p, would need new packs though sadly. Need a Neu :

    Looks great man!
show pics if you can of your paralleled esc..
I want to solder a pair of extra wires to my T180 when I race my DF33 4092 2080kv in PMono
the bullets just get to dang hot and I think are wasting amps...
    prop was a x645 and m447

I've got CC6.5s on the motor/esc side and de-soldered yesterday. This motor is making things difficult, doesn't like any prop. I spun this prop on my leopard 4068 2350kv and no issues, on this motor heated up bad. Not sure what I'm going to do w/ it. I can't keep spinning just a m445 to make the motor happy. The water yesterday was rather warm though, so I know that didn't help.

Here you go. BL55 I added 2 caps as well. Their only 25v I think so no 6s which I wouldn't run on it anyway.

        Thanks
I think I'm going to solder the two extra wires on the underside of mine.. I'll see how well that works or not.

The problem running 4s is the higher kv motors needed to get the required rpm, the 2200kv motor is rated up to 120a. On 6s you would only need 1400 -1500kv for the same rpm but the motors would be rated at a much lower 80a & produce lower temps so theirs more scope to push larger props for more speed still before things start getting to hot.

I would need new packs for 6s also . I want a bigger or more efficient motor.

I've hit 51 on my pursuit running a similar set up. I'm using a castle 1515 2200kv which I haven't pushed yet never propping up more than a m445. I may try a bigger prop just to see if the castle pulls it better than the Leo. I'm using the castle cap bank in mine which lowed heat for me.

I've been temped to throw a set of 5s in it for a short run but don't want to burn up the thing.

If you hit 51 on 4s w/ a m445 that bests my setup w/ the same prop. I really want to buy a different motor. Its gonna have to be 4s though, I can't splurge on a new motor and new packs right now. I could go 1700-1800kv range and prop up on 4s then buy some 5s packs down the road. Could be an option. I do however get a kick out of pushing the 4s range.

I've though about doing the same but also like the 4s and more importantly the cash.
I could just be my bad ass driving skills though. Haha
                      How's that boy doing?

I added a few caps to my esc. Heat no issue w/ those or the batts. Gonna decide which route to take. This boat just keeps growing on me more & more.

Could be your high level of bada$$ness lol, that's good for a extra 5mph.... lol :)

Awesome buddy! Thanks for asking bro, you've been around the whole time all that was going on and I truly appreciate it!

I'm really lovin that boat too. It just rips and I've never stuffed it yet. Also tough as nails. I lost control the other night and it stuck in to a sharp bank 5" deep. I pulled it out and there where only scratches. I though it was totaled with how bad it sounded. A little epoxy on the wood parts inside and good as new. I can't think of another boat I've owned that could withstand that hit.

I think we need some pics of the dude in Yamaha swag. Or at least some Yamaha stickers for the crib. let me know when he outgrows that stuff so I can get him more. Fully blown brainwashing mode here. Lol
