Dont worry about the small gap. using the sloped ski & the z strut the boat is designed in this way. Ive spoken to Rod Gerharty a number of times one of the designers of the JAE hydros & their dead easy to set up providing everything is built straight & square on the boat & one important thing is the strut is level & dont mess with it.

I finally adjusted the strut to 0° and changed to a H4 prop and Grimracer 42-50, very stable now and radar gun speed is 124kms/h 77mph.

New ABC H4 prop, Leopard 3674 motor, Turnigy 180Amp Esc, EZ Power 6200mah 50C Lipos,
74 mph ( 117 kms/h) on radar gun
On previous run 77,5 mph ( 124 kms/h)
This set up requires very good lipos or they will puff up and explode. It happened to me with other brand Lipos 5000mah 40CComment
