P-Ltd Mean Machine Sprint Racer trial run

Now that a NAMBA P-Ltd Cat Sprint class has been added to the FE Nat's coming up, I thought I'd rig a "water damage" MM to see how it goes. Looks good; pulled Stephen's identically rigged Geico on the straights. Next I'll test out the same stuff ( UL-1 2030) in a Motley Screw I just got second hand. Gonna' be a fun race class

    2008 NAMBA P-Mono & P-Offshore Nat'l 2-Lap Record Holder; '15 P-Cat, P-Ltd Cat 2-Lap
    2009/2010 NAMBA P-Sport Hydro Nat'l 2-Lap Record Holder, '13 SCSTA P-Ltd Cat High Points
    '11 NAMBA [P-Ltd] : Mono, Offshore, OPC, Sport Hydro; '06 LSO, '12,'13,'14 P Ltd Cat /Mono

getting excited for this one. would it be wrong to run a mm in p offshore and i Ms g in p limited? I have a spare MG i kinda want to off to fund a MM build, that MM is just starting to grow on me, on the other hand Ms G has been my old faithful so i may just try to showcase her in both classes.

Video isn't always the best at showing how fast a boat is going but I think my p ltd sprint cat will hang with the one in the vid, or at least it better. ha ha

Mike, both P-Offshore and P-Ltd Offshore will have top talent running in those classes(not me). I ran my MM at WWVIII in P-Ltd Offshore and got my butt kicked bad by the Cyberstorms and Titan29's - I was propped down and carried a heavy battery load to go the distance and learned my lesson - the monos carved the buoys really well-better than the MM. Howard Tucker ran a Geico in P-Offshore and didn't fare well either and he's a top guy. I'd give either class a go with your cats, but, like me, be prepared for some hard core competition.

I'm looking to the Motley to be a runner in Ltd Cat Sprint; we'll see - it's a fast hull .

Dana, correct you are Does turn at WOT - especially around the large radius oval course buoys - in AZ P-Ltd Offshore I was cornering the right turns at full throttle; a quick chop and back on it for the left turns. I think I was just feeling a tad conservative in the video run. Actually future plans for the MM call for bigger power - I rigged it with a .187 flex and a T-180 and have some 1515 1Y motors ready to try out/install in the future.

its nationals i expect lots of top guys will beat me out, still doesn't mean I'm going there wanting to lose, gonna give all the fight i have. I mean im using an hk 4074 for the p classes, its a 40 dollar motor vs the 300 dollar castles, but after seeing what it did in the geico i don't think i need any more motor. Eagle tree will be going in as soon as the cooling system leaks are all solved, and battery/prop combos will be set up accordingly.

I still feel like i have more of a chance in offshore / sprint cat then the sport hydro classes, The vegas is coming along but from what i've seen out of the whips and the fe30's i've got a long way to go and i'm not sure the vegas is as capable of a hull for the class. But i'm gonna give it a go.

On a side note i just got my namba card for this season, not sure what the latest politics are on legg lake and the back gate, but i would like to meet up with you some time before natts for some fun run heat action and maybe you could help me squeeze the last bit of performance out of my boats.

Mike, things have tightened up at the lake, rule-wise. To use the gates, driver's stand and rowboat you need to purchase a key.

I'm about to organize a meeting/fun run at Joe's. I'll let you know what's planned. We'll get your boats tuned up-no worries.

                        thank you!
so it looks like the UL-1 motor is the hottest we can run in these?
I always thought the MM took the turns awesome but not so fast on the straights..
