its my buddies parents, A 21 ft team hawian, was clocked at 70 by the previous owner, I couldn't believe the guy let it go for 7,500, its not even oxidized or anything. Guess the guy new the owner of team hawian and did some work on his house, instead of a check he got the boat custom built, has a cobra outdrive on it i think ( an upgraded drive at the time but unfortunately is no longer made... parts) Speed limit on the lake is 35 unless you make special arrangements with lake patrol. Its a beautiful boat and perfect for the lake. Call me crazy but if i see a nice boat on the freeway i just have to snap a shot. Must have 30 or so boat pics on my phone, i just love em

Steve do you know much about real boat prop. The have two props i wanna say both are 21 pitch but one is 3 blade other is 4, They were told the 3 was a high end prop and the 4 would get them out of the hull better. the 3 blade on now but they are wanting the 4 blade for this summer when they will be pulling skiers and tubers, Is there something that needs to come out of the prop being used and put into the prop they want to use? We were gonna make the switch but the 4 blader seems to be missing something. Wasn't sure if we were the ones missing something.

My real prop changing is very limited. When I did, it was on a merc bravo one. I played with 3 and 4 blades. the 4 blades I used all suffered low end issues. But that way have been from the design. I dont remember it needing anything from the first prop. I always wanted to try one of those variable pitch props.

Four blade is going to give you more lift but you will lose some top end. It will work better for pulling and getting up outa the hole a bit better. The hub of the props will depend on how old both props are when you get a brand new prop from Bombardier (owner of the older OMC products now like the Cobra drive) they come with a interchangeable hub. Most of the older ones just have the pressed hub. You will however need to make sure that you have the correct thrust washer on it. (Marine Technician here) :-)

Make sure when going to the four blade you will want to decrease some pitch due to the added bite...... Most of my customers I will work with them closely to get them the correct prop that puts them in the right powerband it can take some trial and error sometimes. The 21 pitch you have on right now turns what rpm? and what is the motor package in it?

Oh and by the way that is an AWESOME vid!

that was the stock motor with a m445 on 4s2p, I lowered the strut after this run and finally got rid of the bounce. Just went and checked my set up. Centerline of strut is 1 inch below the bottom of the boat. Rudder is offset 7/8 of an inch and slightly tucked back. the 4s 4000 mah packs sit about even with the back of the motor.
