I'm having lots of fun doing this, but getting the boat "there" is is a little challanging since I really don't know where "there" is
My major concern is the side-to-side rocking on the straights which , by listening to the prop sound, seems to occur when the prop unvents and re-enters causing torque roll. I've encountered this on my race monos and tuned it out by lowering the strut some. I lowered the strut on the JS but had the tabs down on the first run (not pictured) and the stern was raised as a result of this, with lots of rocking. The run in the vid was with the tabs brought up, and went back to an X442 from the previous 440/3. Since these hulls are technically a full displacement flatbottom but are powered far past the original design's "terminal hull speed", I'm of the opinion that this is just about how these boats run - by watching lots of gas skiffs I think I'm in the ballpark here. (Yes, I'll dial out some rudder throw to avoid those embarassing spinouts
)

Of course, the driver's shades should give away their identity, none other than Rock 'N Roll Hall of Famers Jake & Ellwood Blues
