Well I took my genesis out for its first proper run. I was very impressed with how it went and and the temps. I'm running a turnigy 4074 2000kv motor with a seaking 180A esc on 4s with an x642 prop. I couldn't believe how cool everything was after a good 5mins of runtime. The motor was 20deg c and the esc was 24deg c so I think I have plenty of room to prop up. This boat is so much kinder to drive than my stiletto!

It will be faster with 4s, 2P. Mine rocked with a Leopard 4074 2200kv with an x447. You can definitely safely squeeze more out of it on 2p and a larger prop.Comment

I was thinking that. Should really rock then. Am I right in saying that's about 37,000 rpm on 5s and anything between 30,000-40,000rpm is ok?Comment

Should be fine for short runs and stick with the smaller prop on 5s. I was running a 2200kv 4s2p m445 getting mid fifties. Temps where low still. Set up is everything on that boat though.white geico w/2200kv 3674 leopard 53.5mph 4s2p, geico w/ 1800kv outrunner 52mph on 4s2p, genesis w/2200kv castle 53.8 on 4s2p, impulse 31 w/2200kv castle, stock p1 and ul-1
