Delta Force Explorer Cat, Twin Castle 1520's 6s saw runs

Took the DF cat to Ackerman yesterday. Ran it on 4s with Scotts HPR (no video of that though) Then loaded it up with a pair of 4000 ma 6s packs and tuned some laps solo. Octura X447 and 447R props, Turnigy 180 amps esc's. Around 12.5 pounds loaded and ready to run with the 6s 4000's.
No gps to docment it but calling 70+ on an educated guess anyways.
Now if I can just get the link right to discplay it.

Thanks Jesse & Scorp. I'm hoping that after Dave makes up those longer rudders I might even be able to get it around a corner without having to baby it so much.

Nice Bill, can't wait to see the rudder too.

I have a big Chinese rudder I'm going to put in the mini mill. I'll see what I can do for my DF EX.

Thanks Ray. I'm looking forward to seeing what a little more rudder will do for it myself. If this little thing would corner like my 1717 powered Sprintcat I'd be in love with it. Have you ever seen it run before? (well video I guess. Pretty sure you haven't seen it in person.)

That's the great thing about boats. They don't mind when you play with other boats.

Actually Goldfinger corners pretty good, too. Only drawbacks on it is that it's heavy carrying to and from the water and takes a few hours to charge the 4 packs needed to run it.
Guess now that the weather is starting to cool off a little I'll have to take her out for another spin and hope she's not overly PO'ed from being neglected so long. It hasn't been in the water since taking it to Ft Pierce for the Waveblaster's test n tune a couple of weeks before the FE Nats.

Yeah... she does sing 2 part harmony even better than the DF cat. I probably should have linked up my favorite vid (Goldfinger vs Speed Racer) but the Waveblaster's was the most recent run. Next time out I need to take her along and get some more video. That way I can bump up my build thread on RCG and see how many hits it's up to now. It's so far back now that it doesn't even show any more on the normal listing.

Hey Bill & Scott I got started on your rudders on my CNC Mill tonight. Hopefully the next couple days I can get a little more done. Here is an idea what they will look like Scott your rudder is on the right the new ones are 1 1/2" longer.

Looking good Dave. I'm hoping some extra depth will help it get around the turns better.
