Chris, what ESC are you running? What Kv on the motor? What packs - "C"-rating and brand? What radio?

Does it run for several minutes before cutting out, or does it cut out soon after starting? Does it cut out at the same place on the pond, or randomly? It may be that the LVC on the T-180 is set too high, the cells may not be able to handle the load. That isn't an extreme setup by any means, so either there are problems with the ESC or motor, or the LVC is too low. Set the LVC to 3.0 volts and see if that helps.

Another cause could be the radio. 75mHz radios don't like electrical interference, and the power from your setup could be causing interference, particularly if the radio is AM rather than FM. Try moving all the motor/pack power wires as far away from the receiver and antenna as possible, including the receiver wires to the ESC and servo. We used to have this problem a lot in FE boats, but the switch away from brushed motors and switching to 2.4 gig radios all but eliminated it.
