Finished the new rescue & filming rig yesterday. Tested it out today. Worked pretty good. This video shows filming from the lake then a clip of it pushing a boat back.

This makes v2 of my rescue rig. This time Ive incorporated a camera mount that can rotate 360 degrees with a tether line in case it comes off. Also some safety measures in case its in an accident out on the water getting hit by a high speed boat. If it were to break apart there are small ropes that will keep things together. The tubes are filled with great stuff expanding foam as well.

I think in the future when I build another one I'd like to incorporate a camera mount that is on a slide that can go from underwater shots to 1.5 feet above the water. That would make for some neat footage. and maybe help find lost objects.

sweet, now just mount the camera on one of those servo thingamajigs, and have a camera person control the camera remotely as you fly around it. Now that would be cool.

I love the footage from the rescue rig. Makes me feel like I am on a boat watching.
