My Phil Thomas super sport 45

My Super sport 45 making some runs. Two {tired} 18.5 Thunder Power 65-130c 4400mah batteries, Neu 1527-1/2y , Castle 240 HV and a x647 prop.Boat ran 92 mph on this run at 42,000rpm on Data logger. I just opened up the nose a little more so i could get some 5000mah batteries so I hope for consistant 95-98mph. Its 7am and there is a bad sun glare that we didint expect so not the best video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvi9KIth-kg

Gary, any pics of your setup? I find my PT45 likes to get a little squirrelly when I run it in the 60's.

There are three SS45s in the club. All of them use spoilers on the front canard surfaces, some over 3" long. These do help to keep the boats down, but they can still get flighty.

I actually made a set for my PT45 out of lexan a couple seasons ago but I took them off because I thought they added a bit to much down force. I may make another set with something that can be tweaked and adjusted.

Very sweet, that really cooks. Just waiting for My motor coupler and then can get mine on the pond.
Your PT Stealth runs great also in the second video, nice job!

Radee, I remember the lexan you put on the spoilers, thought that was a great idea.

Nice going Gary, looks like your back at your old stomping grounds again. Do I see triple digits in the future?

I made 3" canards out of carbon fiber and just epoxed them right over the old ones to make it simple.Made all the difference to keep it on the water.
Hi Stan . Thanks and yea got some down time from school and stuff so giving it another try with the boats. I wish the video was better with out the sun glare for you guys and that I didnt have such a hard time turning the boat at the end each time. Also I would have made more passes but those dogs where not mine and came out of no where so I had to stop LOL. Next time I think I will try will try 21 volt batteries or just up the mah on the 18.5 volts I run from 4,400 to 5,000 each.........OBOY !!!!! Ray I would rather video the boat up close this way you can get a better idea of it. There is nothing special really but it does come in at 12.9 lbs and that helps alot.

Thanks everyone for the comments !!!

I can't find a good photo of the adjustable ones, just some poor ones with lexan (or missing) spoilers. If you blow them up and look hard.... I'll keep looking.

Looks like that last one was a recovered boat from the bottom of the lake. SCARY!

Jay, I'd like to see the adjustable ones also if you can find them.

Gary, I thought those were your dogs, good thing they didn't decide to finish retrieving the boat, wew.

A 1527 is skinny and long, that motor looks like a 2215.
