55" Quad inline mono 3s Maiden Voyage

Here is a small vid of 3s with a quart of water in the bottom of the boat and one of the cooling tubes wrapped around a motor and wedged in.
It is running at my parents's lake house, The deck where I am standing while taking the video is about 6 feet above the water and my phone is another 6 feet above.
For some scale the guy in the row boat is my dad and he is 6'10" and weighs about 290. I am very pleased with how it ran since it is at about 1/3 of the total power that eveything can handle.

Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover barge

      Yes haha
Sorry about that! So it was probobly under 15000 rpms under load.
I am going to run it on 6s as soon as I get in the replacement batt that I ruined a week ago on another boat. I think a 60mm prop on 6s will get me 60mph and be pretty easy on all the components.

Thats awesome. You have me jazzed about trying this.

I want to do a pair of T600-880Kv motors for my 40" mono and I want to try doubling up a pair of FCat 2200Kv-3126 motors. Since the 3740-2200Kv did not pan out from China, I figure why not try to make my own 3000W 2200KV outrunner. Drop it in a Whiplash Hydroplane for giggles to see how much prop I can turn and what speeds. For about $60 I could have a Neu1515 1Y killer.

It goes well on 3S... for that rpm that is. Just too light.

Thanks Ray! I am really excited for 6s!

I have been playing around with the same thing with two 880kv in my 47in mono that has a gear drive now. I really want to try and see if I can run one esc to both motors on 12s since they could always be timed up perfectly since they are on one shaft. I think it would be a Leo 5692 slayer at half the price(I bought them when they were 30bucks). Since these things get longer and use smaller, high rpm motors when you put them inline compared to similar powered singles I think they would be perfect for hydros!

I wonder what Mcmaster is going to charge me for delivery of 2 shafts, 5mm & 6mm??

I'm always worried about that when it's not stated...

I've got a pair of Ben's 2200-3126's on order to give it a go. He is the only one that sells this motor in this wind. HK stopped selling that wind a long time ago.

It should wind up nicely with a pair of Suppo esc's $20 each for the 200's, I can cool & coat'm myself.

That sounds good to me! They stay pretty strait on the shaft and once you get them on there and I haven't had any issues on them being off at any angle. I just try to line them up so they look the best, then make a notch where you want the set screw to go. I just use a dremel for that. I don't think the shipping was too much. Just make sure to taper the end that you put the motors on.

Your opening new doors for bigger boats,
And maybe still have some money left in the pocket.
Now maybe i can get the 36" shockwave i have off the shelf and on the water sooner.

                              A toast to you.
