    DIY 4-cell rigger

Recently I finished my 4-cell rigger. This rigger is setup for 5-minutes oval heat racing (Naviga rules). As I wasn't happy with the propwash-waterpickup I replaced it by a rudderblade with waterpickup. Overall performance is not bad, but I think speed can be acquired replacing this relatively thick rudderblade. Any suggestions on how to add proper watercooling to this rigger?

Here's a short impression of how it runs now (with the relatively thick rudderblade):

    Hope you like it :-)

It's stated at the end of the video that average current draw is 60-65 Amps. The ESC is an ETTI 150A - - why woudn't it survive for 5 minutes ???

Eric: Rigger looks good. Hope you can come up with a cooling solution. Posting some pictures of the hull layout might aid forum members in providing suggestions to solve your problem. Good Luck.

heat & battery capacity, just looks too fast to run 5 min in my opinion. our LSO's run for 4 min with a spec motor and they just make it.. and thats with special 6500 mah hyperions or 4s2p and that wouldnt fit in a rigger.

Is an air cooled outrunner an option for you as far as the motor is concerned ?
I have one in my new rigger but I would guess it meets no rules which is not a problem for me but can be for other folk who race.
          See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood

Watercooling is not a problem as it is integrated in the rudderblade. What I don't like though is the thickness of the rudderblade as it acts as a brake. 5.400mAh - 5.800mAh should be fine for 5-minutes ovalheats.
