    Slow Motion FE Boats

Was thinking about putting the music to the footage, but I've already been told that I am "wasting time!!" Oh brother! I guess it's back to my bathroom remodeling project! Enjoy.....

I love it, especially where the hydro nearly jumps over the mini ECO.

What camera is it? I'm after a camera that does SloMo video.

Paul, you slow it down when you edit...or at least I do. I use Pennicle...love it.

I'm more interested in a camera that will do it, if you shhot at the typical 30fps the slow it down to half speed you only get 15fps and it looks a little stuttery, my dad has a Cannon eos550d SLR and it will take 720p video at 60fps, slow that down to half speed and you still have a good 30fps I find this a lot more useful for seeing how a boat is riding and trimming than the 1080p 30fps mode. I cant afford a 550d and know there are compacts, bridges and camcorders that will shoot at high speed for decent SloMo at less expense but have no idea which if any of them are any good.

The camera I used is capable of high speed (210 frames per second). It was a closeout on ebay....$140. There is one on ebay right now going for $50 with (1) day left. Casio EX-FC100.

          Some downsides of this camera:

          1. You need a LOT of light for high speed capture. Don't expect to shoot indoor slow-mo with low light.
          2. The resolution at 210 frames per second is only 480x360, so don't expect to blow it up on the big screen!
          3. No sound with high speed.

It is actually capable of 1000fps, but the resolution is useless (size of a thumbnail). I stick with 210.

EGGGGsellant!!! love it and the theme is very appropriate!

another note on the slo mo - you need a big, fast and high quality video card or it will be very herky jerky as the camera tries to firehose the data to the card. I use a Transcend SD HC 16GB card I got I think on Newegg for ~$30-40.

Great job Shooter, I love to see the range of boats out, especially the lil ones who help you out on the really complicated problems, "its upside down, daddy."
