Here's the website we are still working on it, I have a feeling I was supposed to let you know about it a while back.

Register on the site and there is a bunch of info and race dates.
There is the facebook site as well "Namba District 16"
We have a Calgary race this weekend.
It's mostly nitro right now but all we need is three boats to run a class of FE.
            PM on the way

Brian, we spoke on the phone before over the PT SS45's but thats been a while back. I'll try making it out to the races on one of the days.

Are you bringing your PT SS45? I'd like to see it run. I'm almost finished building mine, just have to prep the fiberglass and its off to the paint shop.

Hey Ken the PT is running pretty well I put it in B-hydro as well as Sport 40 for this weekend so we'll see what happens. I got it settled down it was trying to wheelie down the front straight.

                      Thanks Byron for the invite

Three of us went and watched the June 11/12 races in Edmonton but I can't say that I felt all that welcome at first , before I arrived two of our members got into pretty heated and verbal exchance with one of the Nitro racers.....Yikes , A few of the guys came over and looked at our hardware towards the end of there meet out of curiousity

Kevin a nitro guy was very nice and helpfull with Ken ( our guy ) in discusing setup on a Phil thomas hydro

There was an offer for us to race in the future with them ( a very nice gesture ) but limits on our equipment was quickly brought up....RPM was one of them which I guess is understandable but in all reality not many run over the 35,000rpm mark anyways unless you are in saws or looking to grenade your hardware over the long haul

I would be interested in running against some 60 & 90 powered mono's with my Sniper but didn't see any T- mono's . Because it was such a windy day a lot of drivers had to throttle back as to not flip there boats so atleast that day the speeds wern't all that impressive . I also need to sharpen my driving skills as far as not hitting the pylons..........

On a side note the video above has been re-edited with some music and correction of some details

Dude you really know how to make yourself look stupid (punisher 67) Yes there was a argument and it could have been avoided. Your guys chose to not listen to a club that has been around for over 30years. Your attitude is whats keeping you from racing with us. Nothing else. You can't compare fingers to assholes. FE has classes and so does Nitro. If you wish to run with the nitro guy's great but don't cry to mom if you get beat by a better driver. I'm sure you put a beating on all the SV 27's out there. The club is more than willing to have classes of electric boats. But they will be regulated into classes as stated by FE rules in the NAMBA rule book.
We all try to accommodate you and get a FE class going but every time I see a post your spouting off about how great your boat is and no-one can compete with you not to mention bad mouthing the D16 clubs. What's unimpressive is you!!! You might as well just say your boat is for SAW running. I have yet to see a vid of your running a course or for that matter with anyone else in the water. Boat looks good straight line but ovals do have corners.
                        Kevin

OMG are you ever a drama queen , Get one thing straight never did we say we wanted to join your club and race its always been you beaking off on how we need to join Namba to run at the reservoir , So let me get this straight we have to pay your club fee's to run at pond owned by the city of Edmonton....not likely . Hello we do not want to join you...

Me and Ken phoned the number on the billboard your club has out there and we were told as long as the property is respected just to go ahead and enjoy yourselves .

Your club has the cities permission to use it like us and nothing else , you do not have the right to dictate your club rules to us . None of us give a crap about racing with you anyways we tossed the idea around a bit but figured it wasn't a good fit . That is becoming more than OBVIOUS now , I wasn't even there when the argument started so I am at a loss there

Why don't you show me these posts on how great my boat is cause I sure would like to read them also . Also please show me where I bad mouthed your club .
And what was your club of 30 years trying to tell us , please enlighten me .

Oh BTW Dude I just deleted the video on youtube since it upset you so much , This really is pointless but if you didn't go back to it here was my responce to you comparing fingers with assholes comment

                          Hello Kevin

I see you liked the video , that was posted last year in responce to a few of your members snickering at the nitro killer logo on the boat , I am presently building a second and even faster Sniper mono .

Two of us phoned the number on your billboard and were given verbal permission to run our boats there anytime we wanted , The lady we talked to sounded dumbfounded when we mentioned that we needed to join your club AND PAY to run there anytime we wanted , like you mentioned to me in your post we don't own the pond , well neither do you written permission or not , its a public reservoir . I would like to join and get a Namba membership just for the insurance that comes with it but most of us are just casual boaters and we just want to run for fun every second Sat or Sun , we are always hoping to meet other FE guys and all are welcome . We have seen the occasional nitro guy running there in the past and have a lot of fun shooting the breeze exchanging info

We showed up more or less to watch you guys race and show your club a bit of support but unfortunatly Vlad , Ken and one of your members got into a verbal dispute . this happened before I had even arrived and still really don't understand over what . We have all talked it over and really have no interest in racing at least not at this point . I still need to hone my driving skills and quit hitting the pylons....LOL . It would be really interesting to see one of you guys run the Sniper mono on your course since most of you guys are seasoned racers , I would love to see the boat run at its full potential .

Me and ken ( Phil Thomas hydro ) both agree you were the most helpfull and along with Fons and we really enjoyed shooting the *!***!***!***!** with you . Fons talked to us about racing with you guys but quickly started to imposse limitations on our boats . Naturaly we would set them up to run about the same speed to be fair and competative if we did go that route in the future

You seemed a little hostile in your post here please don't let the video offend you it was only meant to rub your members a bit

                          Take care Kevin

I guess you don't realize that we all do this for fun. Some of our members can take the " win or die attitude". No drama I have seen you over the years and it's time to *!***!***!***!** or get off the pot as it were.

The people you spoke with at the city had no clue as to what they were saying. I guess the 17 districts across North America are paying insurance and fees to their local for nothing. The rules and regulations are there for your protection as well and the city's, and spectators. The classes are set up to get boats of SIMILAR power and speed to compete. I'm sure for you winning every time would be fun (it can be) but not some much for anyone else. Driving skill wins more races than speed.

I'm willing to work with you guy's and get a great class together but YOU must work with me. It's a weekend event and this means your there for the weekend. If you have three classes of electric boats they are split up through the weekend. Yes when just out to play you can go out whenever you like but you can't compare your boats to others and doing it in a crowd is a whole new ball of wax. I can get a lot more done than any one member of our clubs.

We can have SAW events for when you just want to go fast (Calgary club has a radar or two). You can think of the racing like NASCAR we are restricted by engine size in classes and hull designs. everything else is open to your own modifications. We all agree that electrics will be able to go faster than nitro. That's not the point nor should it be. We are a club of people with the same interests and enjoy the building, modifying, painting and running of boats.

I went 10 years without winning a class in D16 always second or third in points. Did not matter to me as I'd rather be running boats than working or doing house work.
                            Kevin
