    Waveblasters Test n Tune Saturday

Chris, Hugh and I went over to the Waveblasters club in Stuart Saturday to get in a little practice on the lake where the FE Nats will be run in a couple of weeks.
    Intro

Here's the next video in line. A little more LSO action. Think we had a P mono heat that ran before this but P seldom get taped since there's no one to run the camera when we're all racing.

Next up, Hugh testing his rigger after it's rebuild. (Ray and he had a little "get together" last time out) Unfortunately he left one of his cooling lines loose so it was a short lived test.

I like this boat. Owned by the Waveblasters president Ken Haines. His ST Offshore/mono boat. It's big, loud enough to border on being obnoxious and really FAST.

This is an absolutely gorgeous 1/10 scale shovel. It even has real mahogany planking on the deck. For it's 2nd time ion the water it was moving pretty fast too.

More video of Ken's big Yellow mono. Did I mention that I really liked this boat? :D

My 1/8 scale Miller American. It was running well (after retrimming the radio) until it showed me the bottom of the boat. Rattled me so bad that I lost my ability to drive.

This is Ken's Phil Thomas Stealth setup for P hydro

My Expresscraft Thunderbolt. It made 10 laps on the tight course before the starboard esc hit thermal cutoff. Time for me to follow scops lead on the esc cooling mod.

    Some more LSH action

    Hugh's LSO Mean Machine

This is Ken's little N2 (I think) rigger

Put my 47" mono in with Ken's monster mono to let him lap me a time or two. It didn't happen since his took a bad hop on the 1st lap and sheared the rudder's sacrificial bolt. (or maybe the bolr sheared and caused the spinout?)

After repairing the rudder Ken takes his beast for a spin on the offshore course, at least until his bar cut prop cracked a blade.

That's all folks. Hope you enjoy them.

Thanks Ron. The buoy at the far right hand side in the vids is the offset offshore marker. The last one up shows Ken running the offshore.

The only electricity I saw came from fully charged lipos and Ken's generator. I gotta remember to put a good charge on the charging station built into the back of my van before going over for the races.

If any of you guys have a generator's please bring them.
We are working on a very large diesel type, but just in case that falls through?
Better to have to many than not enough, of course we would prefer the Honda silent type, but will build a noise barrier if we have to.
Enjoyed haveing you guy's over last weekend.

It's not as far to Ft. Pierce as it is to Stuart..........LOL

Haha. Couldn't resist pulling your chain. Yep, long ways for a couple hours running. I don't even like the 1.5 hour drive to akerman! I've raced at the waveblasters lake two other times so familiar with the layout. Just couldn't see making that drive or paying for that much gas!!
