If that video doesn't make you want to run SAW's, nothing will!!!

Awesome job on the video and the records!!!

Thanks guys we had a lot of fun at the SAW and doing the video

The boats are timed using IR beams that are placed 330' (1/16 of a mile) apart. When the boat breaks the first beam the clock starts running, when the second beam is broken the clock stops. The time is then displayed on the control box and written down. Then the driver has to make another pass in the opposite direction. Then the two times are averaged. The driver can make as many passes as he wants but the final numbers have to come from two consecutive passes.

Aha !! Now I know how you all get such good times ; a course with parallel banks to insure a straight run between the lights ( as opposed to Legg Lake which has extremely amorphous {good word, Eh ?} banks and makes some time-penalizing diagonal runs quite common. We Left Coast SAW guys either better sharpen up our lines or we'll have to handicap your times

Seriously, great performances there, and super Vid , thanks

LOL, Tony I've been to Legg a couple of times and plowed a boat right into that little point on the left hand side, arrgh There's a reason why they call it Legg Lake, cuz it's as crooked as a dog's hind leg(g) LOL
