36" twin scratch cat hits the water

This was the actual maiden voyage and then a reprise later in the day. I was expecting a little higher speeds, but recon that is part of the fun.

As for the hull, I am pretty happy with how she came out, design seems reasonable.

I hope to get more speeds - she is destined for 60s. I have work to do that's for sure, but at least she is in the water

    Here is video.

I left muzak out so other countries don't ban the video like others I have posted.

I loved the almost launch with the boat stand on
    Did you loose the rudder?

yep lost rudder. I think the set screw came loose cause there was no damage to the mount. Lucky I had a spare and was not held up.

Anyone have tips on how to reduce/eliminate spin outs like in the first clip?

Thanks Rummy, that is what I am itchin to do, but Mr. Gugler keeps telling me to get speeds up on 4S then go 6S. He says I should be in mid 30s on 4S. I did throw 5S in today (not filmed) and she started to move, then the unloctited setscrew in the drivedog ended the session. Plus the snow flurries put a chill on the mood as well.

Aight, now this is how I was hoping to see her run on 4S.

check out vid on 6S - still 45mph, but riding nice. I hope you like BB, cause this video deserved em.

I have since reprogrammed the Swordfishes, hoping they were not at high timing.

JJ, Great job on the boat ! If you could, you might try a pair of UL-1 motors instead of the proboat motors and you could probably get the speed out of it on 4s that yur looking for. Ul-1 motors work great in my HOTR cat on 4s.

thanks for the tip; I think Imma gonna stick with these for now - not afraid to go 6S if need be. everything is below 80F at the moment, so up with the voltage!

thanks guys, that was fun to film and to mix up. Das, I didn't notice, I will pay attention to the video again. I have since retightened the struts so they shouldn't move around. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have been wondering how they would work in a twin cat. What's your prop choice? What kind of speed and run times?
