I agree. A plain white one with a painted windshield would be a nice option

      That is weird:

      2030kv
      1800kv

With proboat the 1800kv motor is a BIG jump in price over the 1500kv motor.

It would be sweet if they made the boat is several paint or decal options, like red black or white. I recall seeing a test boat in red and it looked great. If your buddy has a white boat, I guess you have no choice but to get a white one too... It would be nice to have a color option like the SV. Pro Boat could have done this with the MG also.
Hope you read this Grim, I buy alot of your stuff.

The 1800 motor should help make the system more reliable for the newcomer. I know the 1800 will swing a larger prop and all new comers think larger is better.

Darn, this boat is growing on me !! Even the graphics Since I sold my Drifter to Brad, I've had Cat Scratch Fever

One thing I've noticed, if you look at the pictures 1-5 here on it's sale thread, is that the running hardware really looks like the UL-1 strut, rudder & maybe even the motor mount. Since I have plenty of AQ motors & speedys, and a beater UL-1 boat to part out, IF the hull could be made available separately I'd like to rig a Spec-LSO boat & see how she does in that class - IIRC she has already done well in early race efforts. I'm thinking it would be a nice, fast & decent cornering contender. In fact I'm quite sure it'll kick A**!

              Anyone listening ?

BTW, nice vid Mike-you clean up well

                UL-1 / MC :

rudder, rudder mount, strut, strut mount : SAME part number. Motor mount different (no biggie)

It looks like the hull proportions on the MC have been well thought out ; Mike Z ain't no slouch when it comes to this. Running attitude & cornering quite impressive from the vids. Crap, I'm talkin' myself into one of these- now if only.............

                        Here's some good info:

So far the new GrimRacer Speed Packs are rated accurately (40C for the 5000's and 30C for the 4200's, limited pack selection), I'm looking forward to beating on them this season. The small capacity ThunderPower packs that Darin ran at the SAW's were very impressive.

As for the budget Chinese packs, take the burst rating and divide it in half and you have a better estimate of the packs capability. The 40C continuous/50C burst packs don't perform too badly if held below 25C continuous current. I've regularly had these pack drop below 3V/cell when pulsed with current levels approaching the rated "continuous" discharge current. Lots of guys running the 40C packs in the spec classes locally.

                        There's my .02!

                        Your mileage may vary.

Nice jab at the Miss Geico! "You can see the lid is nice and square. No round edges that make it hard to tape".

Still need to see on in person to make an assessment. The decals under the clear make it hard to paint because it means more filling in whether you take them out or leave them in.

you could always just wet sand the clear to smooth out the decals before paint..

I'd love for you to get one and rig it up as a spec LSO. This cat is looking damn impressive and Mike nailed that interview in my opinion. He seemed to answer the most popular questions I get asked and I hope this video alone gets some more people in the FE scene.

I have my MG running pretty well. Should make for some good racing. Can't wait to get that vegas out some more, leaking like a sieve at the moment. Summer should be pretty good indeed.

I'm running an AQ motor in a PB hull, and a PB motor in an AQ hull... May have to switch that around.
