2650kv, 1Y. I ran one on the Woodstuff 32 on 5s to set the Q record at 64.65mph. It came back steaming hot, but that was a little heavier boat. Mike

Just wondering in the video where is the timing trap set up and how long is it?

            Jim,

As I found out clearly this weekend... SAW racing is the REAL deal when it comes to judging just how fast a boat REALLY is... A momentary, often erroneous, blip on a GPS of instantaneous speed is a WHOLE lot different than a REAL 50mph SAW run...

Referencing the video, the left timing light on the near shoreline is just to the right of the tall reeds, and it's opposite on the other side of the lake is about 1/4" way down the island. The right timing light on the near shore is to the right a ways from the other bunch of reeds, just off the point of the knowl (don't know if you can see it in the video), and it's opposite is a ways off the right end of the island. You have the entire width of the lake between the island and the shore to make your run. You'd better pick a straight path, or your times will suffer. NOT as easy as it seems.

You hit the line at full tilt, and have to keep the boat upright for 330' to trip the other light... 1/16th mile. Then, you get to turn around and do it the other way.
