The reason for the packs being a bit warm is due to the 30c rating in my opinion. The packs are putting out 162a constant..............that motor may be pulling really close to that, try 40c or go to 2p...........looks like enough room in the hull, and it could possibly use the weight, the 1520 wont even know the xtra weight is there.............i vote for the 230 also!NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

The packs are rated between 30C-60C for 10 second bursts, that's why i thought I had plenty.
Hey Film, just going to run the 225 tomorrow until I can get a X648 or 230 shipped. I just want to she if it's a little better on calmer waters.Comment

I have a X447/3 that could be sweet!
also a X450, and a X452/3
the weather around here is looking like snow again for the next couple days, or I would work on my Spartan and see what I can do on the stock system and on a CC1520.NAMBA20...Caterpillar UL-1, P-Spec OM29, P-Mono DF33, P-Spec JAE, Aussie 33" Hydro-LSH, Sprintcat CC2028 on 8s, PT SS45 Q Hydro, PS295 UL-1 power, OSE Brothers Outlaw QMono 4-sale, Rio 51z CC2028 on 8sComment

Runs awesome man. Very well planted in not-so-great water conditions at that speed.
I disagree with the prop up idea, just because I know what kind of current that setup pulls. (s225/1520-1y/6s in my cat pulled 209A) I went to a s220 with that motor and saw a little speed pickup. Its not that the 1520 doesnt have the torque to turn a s225, just at that rpm I dont think its as efficient.Comment

Haha, it was a nice 80 deg day here in AZ, the pool is at 89 with our new heater. I hate the cold, lol.
I will gladly test your props for you while your'e waiting for the snow to melt :)
Hey Keith, so you rekon I should possibly even go to a S220, I have a Grim Racer 44 X 66 and the S225 was much better.Comment

You should go 2p, very nice running though. I think the real test will be the life of the hull, did you reinforce the hull at all by chance?Comment

Thanks Diesel, no reinforcements and at this speed Im sure something is bound to happen.
Im just going to stay with the 225 and possibly try the 230, pretty happy from where I was a month ago with this thing.Comment

Great job again....Comment
